Of course they can!!! Hahahahaha. I’m not Japanese and I could totally understand it! And my Japanese boyfriend could understand it with no problem!

That’s why I love the bonus tracks! They are a real challenge! Something to aim for, especially in this Newbie Series! (it’s a little slow for me, so…)

mike in ebisu tokyoさん、very, very true. oh the things these eyes have seen.

sat morning at 6:30 am on the yamanote line between shibuya and shinagawa, some old drunk guy got on the train and lit up a cigarette. as rude as that is, he at least showed the courtesy to ash out the door when the train stopped at a station. ありえねぇ。

Sunday Morning I caught the FIRST Yamonote JR Line out of Ebisu to Tokyo Station to catch the Narita Express. From my experience maybe the first train on a Sunday has even more unusual characters than the last train on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Same goes for the first characters moving about in Roppongi at 5:30 or so on a Sunday Morning

皆さん、お早う！

I really like the word 終電 (しゅうでん) and I like when that appears in a lesson, too.

By the way, Fabrizio was way too drunk in that bonus track. He’s really into partying, isn’t he???

Also, the use of 車庫 (しゃこ) and 回送 (かいそう) are really great because they are definitely not in a regular newbie course.
