Nice grammar point! Wish I heard this lesson before the JLPT. There was a question using this one. Evidently, I got it wrong.

Neilさん
>気を失うは気絶とちょっと似ているでしょうか?
はい。ほとんど同じだと思います。
Yes. “Ki o ushinau” and “Kizetsu suru” are very similar.
私は気を失いました。watashi wa ki o ushinai mashita.
=私は気絶しました。watashi wa kizetsu shimashita.
I fainted.

Hello. This post was extremely fascinating, particularly because I was browsing for thoughts on this matter last Friday.
Saturday at 12:09 am
I know this is an old lesson but there’s a couple of errors in the PDF, where okurigana is missing:
line 4: 押えられました
should have been: 押さえられました
it’s missing a さ right ?
the error is repeated twice in the vocabulary and in the grammar point.
also, in the grammar point, example (ii):
勉強し should have been 勉強が right ? (that’s what the romaji says)
I find it very useful to read the PDF after listening to the lessons, so forgive my attention to details

I saw this somewhere else so it has to be true
