I like how you can select what language you want the interface in over at EP101. I, as well as many people who have posted before myself over there, are using the interface that is NOT in our native language for extra practice. Can that be done here, or is it in the works?

I'm glad you like the bilingual feature. I don't mind saying it was a BUTTLOAD of work, both on the tech side and the translator's side. It's the part I'm personally most proud of. It was designed to be flexible and pretty easy to expand and it was definitely done with possibly integrating it into JPod in mind. But it's an enormous job that on the tech side requires rewriting about 90% of the site (which is made even more difficult by JPod already being an established site). So as far as I'm aware, there aren't any immediate plans to integrate it here...yet. But at some point, yeah it probably will be.

How about Russianpod101.com? я хочу русскийпод101 пожалуйста!

I'm almost half Russian, but I speak it poorly. Japanese is way easier in terms of grammar and pronounciation. I am still doing battle with Kanji but I am making progress. :nihon:

I just signed up over at EP101, and noticed something. When it asked what level of English, I had to choose advanced, as there was no option for Native. You might consider adding this as an option, as I assume you are probably using the answers to that question to determine what lessons to write. To those of us who are using it as another way to help learn Japanese, it doesn't really matter what the English topic is, because we are primarily listening for the Japanese. Also, if you were to come up with an English equivelant of Miki's blog, that would be practically useless from the perspective of a person studying Japanese, while excellent from the perspective of a student of English.

Also, one question on the Gift Certificates in the store here - can they be used on your sister sites, or are they only valid on the site they were purchased on?

Hi guys,

Have just checked out EnglishPod101.com ... looking good! It must be aimed at quite advanced English speakers as that audio is demanding!

Just two things I spotted ... I've signed up with the site so I can register as an affiliate; as a UK visitor, it wasn't possible for me to enter my own "county" or leave the state blank, and I had to register myself as "Armed Forces UK" which isn't quite accurate!! Not everyone has a state.

Also, the affiliate banners are all in English ... which is great for me, but am just wondering if you're going to introduce any Japanese banners - am guessing they would work better for your target audience.

Otherwise keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing the site developing!

Take care,

I think http://www.englishpod101.com can be used the way many Japanese people use our site. Listening to the lessons with English and Japanese will help with one's exposure to the language. The PDFs are completely in Japanese, and hopefully as Jazivy said, we can find a way to have interaction between the 2 listener bases!

We're really looking forward to your feedback!
As we would like to build this with your help! :dogeza:
よろしくお願いします。

I just hope English101.com won't take too much time at the team.

I mean, I didn't have the impression that Peter-san and the others had a lot of free time on their hands for doing another podcast.

So I'm a little afraid that because of Englishpod101.com the content of Japanesepod101.com will be less than before...
