月曜日に、私の大学校の授業は8:40から11:20までです.
getsuyoubini, watashi no daigakkou no jugyou ha 8:40 kara 11:20 made desu.
My university classes begin on 8:40 and finish at 11:20 on Monday.
How about you?
(If you don’t go to uni, maybe you want to use 仕事／shigoto/work)

What’s the non-newbie way of asking what somebody’s job is? In English, it’s usually just ‘what do you do (for a living)?’.

お仕事は何ですか？ Is the way I’ve been told to ask it.
どこで働きますか？ I never tried this one, but seems logical enough.

Kitty-chan, I wish I was thinking that when I listened to the Destruction of Nature lesson 
I like the long, difficult lessons though, it’s rewarding when I can (eventually) understand them

大学校？ I think it’s a typo. Did you mean to say 大学院 or 大学？

You are right .すごいですね。
お仕事は何ですか？/o-shigoto wa nan desu ka? = what’s your job?
But どこで働きますか should be
どこで働いていますか。/doko de hataraite imasu ka? =Where are you working at?
どこで働きますか sounds like you are asking about someone’s future plan.

There are several ways to ask one’s occupation.
“What do you do?” in Japanese is
何をしていますか。/nani o shiteimasu ka?(polite)
何をなさっていますか。/nani o nasatte imasu ka? (very formal)
何をされていますか/nani o sarete imasu ka? （very formal)
＊なさるand されるis a honorific form of する.
“なにをしていますか/nani o shiteimasu ka?” could be a vague question. So it would be clearer if you put お仕事は in front of the sentence.
お仕事は何をなさっていますか。

Hi Japanesepod101 staff,
Please help!
I have problem in transferring data from Premium to my IBM podcast.
I have followed the steps closely, but don’t know whether is it right or wrong!
Steps:
1) Click the subscribe icon PREMIUM FEED
2) Login window will appear in Itune, enter name & password, OK.
3) Enjoy daily delivery of all our lesson materials to iTunes ( but how to do it? please advise!)
My podcast only downloaded Newbie 1 to 36, (it should be Lesson 51 now) how to have full download of L1 to L51 Newbie?
Please help!
I really need step by step…cos I am computer nut.

on the top left side of iTunes you have a section labeled “podcasts.”
click that.
a list of all your podcast subscriptions should pop up.
when you see JapanesePod101 Premium Feed, you should click the little triangle in front of it. then you can see a list of all the JapanesePod101 lessons.
if you click “get all” it will download EVERYTHING (like 600 lessons plus PDFs and bonus tracks and other features.)
it sounds like you are going for the Newbie lessons only, so you probably don’t want to do that.
so, next to each lesson/pdf/etc, you’ll see a “get” button.
you can click “get” for all the Newbie Lessons, and PDF’s that you want. 
all new lessons will download automatically.

Let me tell you step by step how I try to spend 3 hours to transfer data from japanesepod101.com to my Nano ipod BUT FAILED! sOOOO frustrating!
Please check if I am doing the right thing as follows:-
a) Click Internet on my desktop, and go to Japanesepod101.com and log in/sign in
b) connect my Nano Ipod to my notebook
c) My account subcribe appear
d) I clickDownload Centre, scroll down to PAID DOWNLOADING OPTIONS, and click on BASIC & PREMIUM ITUNES FEEDS, and scroll to STEP 1:CLICK ON PREMIUM FEED ACTIVE PREMIUM MEMBERS
e) Connect to www.japanesepod101.com keep appearing despite of keying in the right username and password, WHY IS IT SO?
f) Later, PODCAST table appear, it shows three columns and two rolls:-
3 columns are: Genre, Artist, Album
2 rolls are: 1st roll- below Genre, shows All (1 Genre), under Artist, shows All 11 Artist, and under album shows: ALL (1 ALBUM)
2nd roll are: Podcast under Genre, Japanesepod101.com under Artist, and Japanesepod101.com under Album.
At this stage the highlite is on the 1st roll. (what should I do?)
On the top left side of iTunes, I saw “podcasts” beside it shows 558, when I click on podcasts, I don’t see any thing.
So far, am I doing correctly until here?
Please advise how to go on from here.

Are you sure you are entering the correct username/password combination. It is case sensitive, and in your case should be in all lowercase.

Oh dear, downloading to Podcast Nano is such a FRUSTRATION!

Premium.
I tried another hour now, trying to download all lessons from your website to iTune (my labtop), but sad and frustrated that it FAILED! NOT A BREEZE…
Let me repeat my step again:-
1) Internet icon, go to www.japanesepod101.com and when your website appear, I logged in using my username and password.
2) Click Paid Options & stroll to BASIC & PREMIUM iTUNES FEEDS
3) Under step 1, click on the small triangle next to PREMIUM FEED
4) iTunes appear, the japanesepod101.com table KEEP PROMPTING me to enter my username and password which I did and made a tick (to remember my password) I have tried many times at this stage, until I got very angry and restart the whole computer again, and tried 30 mins later.
This time, after a can of coke, back to laptop, repeat step 1 to 4, this time, the japanesepod101.com table did not appear. Anyway beside the PODCAST the original contents (557 items) did not increase in numbers, still remain the same number which apppear in the iTUNE, (that was long before I tried to download).
Initially (2 days ago), iTUNES shows 700++ items, but I cleared some by marking X on the left small square. it reduces to 557.
Under today, it still shows 557 items next to the PODCAST (on the extreme right column).
The iTUNE did not shows any item downloading with a GET sign on the right side. WHY???
It seems it is not downloading anything from your website to my laptop, iTUNE. (no movement at all), which button should I activate… I am stuck on with this step, please teach and advise me what should I do now?? Please HELP!
