はじめまして、インドネシアの出身で、キティです。最近、インドネシアのスマトラ島では大きい地震がありまして、本当にこわいだと思います。2年間前もインドネシアで地震のため、津波がおきました。すごいこわいですね！今は私は日本に住んでいますよ。日本人のみんなに地震は普通だと思われますが。私はみきちゃんのお母さんみたいで、地震が小さくても、すぐにアパートから出かけますよ。

今日私はみきちゃんの日記を初めって聞いて、読みましたよ。今からもよろっぴくね！

(in case I’m not understood)
I was in Tokyo for the Nigata earthquake. I visited my mother-in-law and was
on the third floor in Tokyo. Wow.
But, I’m from San Diego, California and lived in Venezuela (South America).
Both places had big earthquakes. Earthquakes follow me everywhere

地震 also happens in Mexico City and I also have felt them during my stay but in a moderate mode. The biggest earthquake in history is the one from Sept 19 1985, alot of buildings collapse and people were hurt and injure. An earthquake also happpen in Peru recently with many damages too, there were donations with many clothes and food. I think that every country that suffers from earthquakes feel the same pain.

日本意外、これは普通です。私がいれば、先に美樹先生のお母さんにドアを開けてあげてから、僕も走り出す。(If I were there I’d open the door for her, then follow her out, screaming like a maniac)

Only a person living in Japan could start a sentence with ‘私は地震がきたとき’ (when an earthquake comes…). Everywhere else quakes are so rare that we don’t have any kind of set reaction to them!
