Learn Japanese at JapanesePod101.com! Today is our final O-Bon kaidan. This one is a first person account told by a young real estate agent. Although Tokyo is famous for it’s outrageously over-priced real estate, from time to time you can find some really good deals… if you’re willing to overlook certain details! Maybe an unexpected roommate is a good thing. After listening, stop by JapanesePod101.com and be sure to leave us a post!

Mina-san, here is our final kaidan!
What do you think about this old Japanese tradtion? Pretty cool, huh?

お疲れ様です!

avatar JockZon (JZ) says:

Nice! But not as good or scary as the previous ones.

avatar kitty-chan says:

Miki-san is officially the scariest person at JPOD.

avatar JockZon (JZ) says:

Oh yeah I agree

avatar Javizy says:

It was a nice change, I think it should become a jpod tradition as well

I like the whole audio book type thing; reading through the dialogues is quite a challenge, good for building vocabulary, and more compelling than usual. Hopefully this avenue is explored further

I agree that Miki is quite good, but her blog is too far ahead of me, so I’ve only heard her in the few lessons she’s appeared in. I remember the one when she scolds her grandparents for coming home late from a KI$$ concert

I assume that today’s lesson is scary story again? Well I have to skip it, but do you guys know why it doesn’t show from iTune today? It doesn’t matter since I will skip but still wondering…I think it didn’t show on Monday either. So eventually I got it only premium Lesson #2, no #1 and 3. Eran-san????

Hello Vicky-san,

Today’s lesson is part of our O-Bon Kaidan series, which are premium lessons only available to our active basic and premium members through our site and through the Basic or Premium iTunes Feeds.

Premium lessons are technically not supposed to show up on the free public feed. Premium Lesson #2 was accidentally included in the feed, so you everyone who spotted it in time got a freebie :)

avatar Vicky says:

Well Eran-san, I got another feebies today I guess??? I got # 2 and #3….
Don’t worry I won’t click to listen.

These ghost stories have made for truly enjoyable lessons. Thank you so much. At this rate, I may end up thinking that Summer is the spookiest time of the year, rather than Autumn.

avatar maxiewawa says:

すごい!
私は怖いな話があまり好きじゃなくて、この三つが大好きだ。たまに普通の会話がめんどうくさいな。
I don’t usually like scary stories but these were great. Sometimes you get bored of the usual dialogues.
I’m going to really have to go through these stories a couple of times to understand them, something I haven’t had to do at JPod in a while. うれしい!
