I think that at this level, students shouldn’t be able to understand the whole thing. (At least the first time you hear it anyway.)

I liked the intro too. Always like them! It seemed like a promo for an event. I have a suggestion though: although this is a japanese language site, if you really want people to know about the event, I think you should somehow put it in English. That would of course make it kinda boring though…　Maybe we should get transcripts/lessons based on the intros. Especially in the event of an event like this. (In the event of an event?)

I feel your pain. As for myself, I think I am still a Beginner. But, when I listen to Intermediate lessons, I always pick up some little thing, such a a new vocabulary word, for example. Learning a language seems to be a gradual process — you just keep picking up one thing after another. Think about how a child learns his or her native language.

Many people have decided to go back to some Beginner Lessons in order to recoup missing bits! So, don’t feel bad!

JPOD Team: As for this lesson, I loved it. I was even able to understand a lot of what Natsuko-san said when she spoke Japanese! Nice job, Natsuko-san! And the explanations of vocabulary were all clear and to-the point. Naomi-sensei, thank you so much for your clear explanations, too. Of course,iIt doesn’t hurt that I am a huge baseball fan. Peter-san, I will cheer Chiba Lotte with you (tobemasu?). Too bad they slipped to third place. Do you think they can come back? They were leading the Pacific League for a long time.
