高校の時、私はクラシックのバンドでベースを弾いた。
KouKou no toki, watashi ha kurashikku no bando de be-su wo hiita.
In High school, I played bass in a classical band. (Orchestra?)

ベースはもうやめたのに。

ところで、あれは私の財布でした。

Paoloさんの調子に対してのコメントはちょっとわからなかった。
ちょうしってなに？

Javizy-san
Although not specifically targeted at Japanese speakers (I think they are just targeting those studying English), there is Anytime-English. I remember links to this one from a post in the forums at www.thejapanesepage.com, and you might want to read the comments there before completely mimicing the sounds of the speakers.

I'm familiar with 'if it's okay/good', but how do you say 'if you want/like'? Or are both nuances covered by the former in Japanese?

By the way, is there a site similar to this that teaches Japanese people English?

Mina-san, at JPod world headquarters we listen to Seiji Ozawa 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We eat, drink, sleep, and breathe Seiji Ozawa. On rainy days we listen to his CD's at full volume. It's all KoreanClass101 Keith Kim's idea.
