Mina-san, here’s another great lesson to brush up on your counters. In this lesson we cover the ~杯 counters which are used for cups!

bakanekoさん、

I think you mean ビール。I’d hate to think someone’s trying to drink a building. That would be いっぱい!!!

I think Peter先生’s mic was messing up again, all the high frequencies are gone

avatar markystar says:

max1さん, the studio provides us mics. and on 2 days they gave us bum mics. please be patient as we have about 12 lessons recorded under those conditions.
over the next few weeks you’ll come across them, and i apologize whole-heartedly. 申し訳御座いません!
i’m looking for the 切腹 emoticon but i can’t find it.

 Sapporo is one of my favorites, along with Asahi, Kirin and Tsing Tao. Asian beer is really good! Just outside of Chicago, I found a Kaiten sushi bar that has Sapporo on tap. That place is excellent, I always practice my Japanese there.

Are any Japanese listeners familiar with a pub crawl? You should start an Izakaya crawl, Natsuko should be the leader of the event!

ところで, I had posted as ERIC EINZIG recently. That’s my pen name, not sure why I used it on here. I’m using my real name from now on, so don’t be confused!

avatar Scott Curry says:

マーキーさん、

Thanks for the info! There is an Asian market I go to a lot that has a seperate liquor store. They have a a very large variety of 酒, but only a few brands of ビール. I am going to ask them if they could order me ヱビス this Friday. I’m glad there is dark Japanese beer!

Markystar,

I visited friends in Osaka a few weeks ago and our host served us Yebisu. He and I were in agreement - it’s Japanese beer that actually tastes all right! I remember it specifically because I’d never seen ゑ in the real world before.
