家庭でリサイクル法はたくさんあるのです。　

食べ物は野菜の物をたい肥貯蔵所に入るのです。　草と木の葉などをたい肥の山を作るために、庭に積み上げられます。

グラスと古い服とプラスチックときりがみを専用箱に入られるのです。それからよく会社まで歩いて行って、環境｛を救うのより健康法ですが！

車は公共輸送より安いですが便利にだったら公共輸送を乗るようにしようと試みる。
家内に、低消費電力電球をも使って見るのです。私もショッピングの時にレジぶくろ袋もっています。

皆さん　そんな小さいことを環境を救うように努力するのはやりがいのあると無駄とどう思いますか？

Vocabulary question:
The reading of レジ袋:　rejiBUkuro (lesson vocabulary, which seems logical) or rejiFUkuro (Edict)?
What does レジ mean? recipient, resistance, residence legionella?

Alainさん、ふくろ changes to ぶくる when combined. レジ袋 is れじぶくろ and 池袋 is いけぶくろ
as for レジ, i think it comes from レジスター cash register. it’s the bag they give you at the cash register.
Evanさん、 i’m not sure what you mean by ‘tomo,’ but ても and たところで are basically the same. なおみ先生 and i had a long discussion about it because i was also wondering about the difference. she said they are the same, but ても is more common in spoken japanese.

A little late input but hopefully not 無駄.

I would like to see more environmental themes incorporated in JPod lessons but so far I have been disappointed that they come out sounding rather flippant. e.g. in this lesson there was too much emphasis on how it was so troublesome to carry one’s own bag. My own observations of conbini customers is that a lot of people throw away their bag as soon as they step out the store so they never needed one at all but they just thoughtlessly didn’t refuse it.

We need more signs like this:

Another example would be that in Int #61 - Destruction of Nature - there was a good piece about the environmental dangers facing us but when the teacher and students had a discussion after they seemed to focus on correctly separating garbage. Separation is important but nowhere near as important as reducing the total amount of waste produced and making lower carbon choices in daily life like not idling engines or choosing a smaller TV screen or properly insulating one’s home.

JPod is not an environental site and I don’t expect it to be but I would like to see a little more serious treatment when you do bring up the issue.
