Do tornadoes occour in Japan?

Tomorrow (Sat) it looks like the forecast here Toledo, OH, USA is about 90F (32C). We have a chance at thunderstorms, and with thunderstorms in this area comes the possibility comes the possibility of "seeing rotation." (I'm a storm spotter. To avoid panic, we avoid using the "T" word.)

Thanks for this lesson! Today we get the opportunity to use two of this week's grammar points.

明日は上海で雨が降るはず
Ashita ha Shanghai de ame ga furu hazu.

It should rain in Shanghai tomorrow.

How about where you are? Just change 'Shanghai' to where you are, and 'furu' to what you think the weather will be like.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.
And thanks Naomi for answering some questions.
We'll try and get more vocabulary intensive lessons in the future.
Our Intermediate lessons recently have been very rich in vocabulary pertaining to job-hunting, working in an office etc.
Check 'em out! They are really useful for day-to-day life!

Yes, 'tte' is short for 'to itte'. For example,

Alainさんは「Yes, the topic's vocabulary is very interesting!」って。

Yes the topic's vocabulary is very interesting!

Kiyttychan, I think TTE comes from the verb iu: "to itte"

It can be a topic marker (like "ha"):
Kyo ha sukoshi samukunai : today ....
Kyo tte sukoshi samukunai: speaking of today ...

It can also mean that someone said something:
Ame ga furutte : someone said it will rain.

I really liked this lesson. Being that this is a lower intermediate lesson and a lot of grammar has already been covered in prior lessons I like the direction of more intensive vocab. I would actually like to see much more vocabulary intensive lessons in the future.
