Has Ushijima done an introduction anywhere? I’ve been listening to the LI Postcards series and was pretty impressed. Her voice suddenly started turning up, whereas Yoshikai, Sachiko, etc, did a little introduction.

It took me a second to realise Natsuko wasn’t being politcally incorrect with her use of ‘queer’

Oh, and hopefully Peter’s still keen on doing some video content while Ushijima is playing the roll of a nurse

as for MP3 players, any model will be fine for you. my recomendation (for ease of use), is an iPod — simply because it’s the most popular and really EASY to use. since it’s sold in every country, you can use it everywhere.

as for those old Survival Phrases lessons, i’ll take a look at them. thanks for pointing that out, i’ll try to fix them today.

by the way, if you enjoyed the survival phrases series, we’re bringing it back today for 25 more lessons! but this time it will be more challenging and with a fun twist.

as for the Videos, it’s on temporary hold. but we have plans for the future.

Hi Marky san and all those ipod experts,

Well, as I mentioned earlier, I have zero knowledge of these MP3s, 4s & ipod products. Because of wanting to learn more of the Japanese language from the funny Peters & the gang and bring them with me on the move. I have to buy an ipod. (It is my First Time)!

What are the things I must look out for to buy an ipod. I am sooo confuse as to which type I should choose.

Memory type : Hard drive or Flash memory?
Supports : PHOTO only, or PHOTO & VIDEO, or VIDEO only?
Storage: 1 GB , 2 GB, 4GB, 8GB, 30GB, 60GB (in order to download the whole JapanesePod101.com with me how many GB should I choose as minimum)?

For examples below:-

a) Apple iPod Nano 8GB MP3 Player

and

b) Apple iPod 30GB Multi Player

Both named Apple iPod, so which one should I choose?

The problem is I am in Japan since April this year, will be here for another 3 to 4 months time. I have the cheapest top-up Vodaphone which simply can call & receive call only. No MP3s or even dictionary features.

I have Computer Gezettes phobias! Anything to do with technology, its like experiencing an EARTH QUAKE.

What should I do now? Any recommendation besides using phone in Japan!

Help me pleaseeee, Maxiewawa san, Marky & the rest of the Computer experts!

Even if I want to buy ipods or MPs3, I do not know what to look out for, what kind of features should I ask for?especially to download all the programs from Japanesepod101.com .

You’ll never get all the lessons on one machine, so size is just relevant to how many lessons you want to carry in your pocket.

You might as well get the 2G version. That way you can fit in about 200 episodes, if my maths is correct. You’ll also be able to do all the other nifty things an iPod can do, only with a smaller hard drive.
