Mina-san, doshichya? Are you ready for the weekend? I was listening to this conversation in the Line-by-Line audio in the Learning Center trying to put my finger on the intonation. I’ve tried to mimic it but can’t quite get it right. How about you?
Friday at 6:46 pm
Oh, I love this although I find it difficult.
By the way, there is no audio to click onto - did you forget this?
I would love to listen
Happy Friday, all!

Dialects are a little ahead of me at the moment, but today’s lesson was fun. Is your average Joe Tokyo familiar with dialects or just famous phrases and buzzwords?
I’m also not a fan of seafood or fish, even though I’m from fish ‘n’ chips England. I’ve been working up the courage to try sushi
Btw, where did Nozomi come from? I haven’t heard her in any of the regular lessons. She’s pretty funny and sounds quite energetic
Saturday at 1:55 am
dialects are a little ahead of everyone, i think. that’s why we are doing these as Culture Classes and not real lessons. the truth be told, i play these conversations for our hosts and senseis and they can only understand 50% without a standard japanese translation.
if you can’t follow it, don’t worry, they can’t either. it’s just for fun!
as for sushi, if you’re in tokyo i’ll introduce you or anyone. i used to fear it and now i love it!!

I have to definitive agree with Javizy-san about Nozomi-san.
She sounds beautiful, her laugh, her voice is very plesant and her English is great!
Peter-san lets have Nozomi-san do JP101 lesson too, she will be a great replace of Chigusa-san!

Marky- Do you know of any good Japanese lessons or classes in Chicago?
Saturday at 11:41 am
I really enjoy these Aomori-ben podcasts as I might go to Aomori in August this year, even though they are far too advanced for my beginner’s ears
Saturday at 5:50 pm
Asahi_NYsurfさん、i’ll be doing an osaka-ben series soon. Just having trouble coordinating schedules (since it wouldn’t be our normal voice actors).
デボンさん、not sure japanese classes in chicago, unfortunately.
for those of you who like the aomori-ben series. this was supposed to be the last one and i planned to have a bonus track that was only a conversation. but we expanded it into a (full?) lesson. so there will be one more!

。はい、レッスンはかなりむずかしかったんですけど、日本語がほんの三ヶ月半のためにべんきょうしていました。のぞみさんはレッスンにはすばらしかったんですが、まだ聞くのをきぼうしているんですよ
