TRANSLATION It’s getting so warm lately, that we can go out in short-sleeve shirts. I feel that summer is coming soon. In Japan, we had the Golden Week holiday between the end of April and early May. Many people use Golden Week to take trips and enjoy leisurely activities. I went to my aunt’s house during Golden Week and dug for bamboo shoots. I went into the mountains with my 93-year-old grandmother. It was very difficult to find edible bamboo shoots. Large ones can’t be eaten, and so we need to find small ones that are just peeping out of the ground. My 93-year-old grandmother is an expert at this, so she was able to find one quickly and pull it out with a lot of strength. I was really surprised. She doesn’t look 93!

Doesn’t Miki say that she went to an acquaintance’s grandmother’s house for GW?

It’s great to have the whole translation but it is incomplete!
You guys forgot this last sentences:
I seemed to look for a treasure, and it was very pleasant that I looked for a bamboo shoot. I cooked a bamboo shoot after returning to a house and made bamboo shoot rice and food boiled and seasoned of a bamboo shoot.
If there is a holiday of one week, what do all of you do?
Have the all of you dug a bamboo shoot?
Then it is next week again!
I hope my translation was good if not my bad!
