Derrick-san,
It grammatically means "I wonder.."
ex)かぜをひいたのか、頭が痛いんです。
"I wonder if I've caught a cold, my head hurts."
But this time -ka is used to say the speaker's opinion in the extra formal way.
He is sure that it is an important customer but he used -ka "I wonder" because it can express politeness to the listener　to avoid straightforward answer.
I hope this helps.

大事な取引先かと思いますので、

I am wondering about the function of the particle "ka" in the phrase above. Can someone explain this to me?

Thank you for the help in advance!

Tachikomaさん,

出社する (しゅっしゃする) means to go/come to work.

The verb used in the second sentence is やらせます (informal form やらせる), which literally means "to make or let [someone] do". They're essentially saying "Let's make Kinoshita do it/take care of it".
I hope this helps!

Pretty difficult lesson this one, especially so early on in lower intermediate. I'm stuck on a few words -

きのしたはらいげつまでしゅっしゃしません - What does 'shussa' mean?

きのしたにやらせましょう - What is the verb used here? It's translated as 'ask', but ask is usually 'tazuneru', or 'ukagau'...

The current season (season 6 at the time of writing) is incredibly easy - it's really more like beginner level, but season 1 is hard as nails..!

Thanks all!

Anthony-san
If you found this Intermediate lesson difficult, try Lower Intermediate series.
Lower Intermediate season 4 and 5 are more organized and easier to follow.
So my recommendation is listen
Lower Intermediate season 4 →5 first.
Then listen
Lower Intermediate season season 3 →　2 → 1
Then move up to Upper intermediate.

I just started listening to lower intermediate lessons and I am finding them a little difficult to follow along with but I can't say enough about how great this site is. I have made more improvements in the past month than in a whole year of trying to study on my own with books. Thanks JPOD!

markystar-san-- perfect advice. I agree, i love listening to all the lessons. the more I listen, the better I get. Though, it's the speaking that i am absolutely horrible at.

nick-t san, i agree with you. it was a little difficult, but thankfully we can listen as many times as we want until it sinks in. ^___^

I found this lesson very challenging.... I think I will listen to it one more time.

Shenyong, I would say try jumping in around beginners lesson 100. You can then jump backwards or forwards from there depending how easy you find it.
