chigusaさんとyoshiさん、本当にありがとうございます。バイバイ。

新年快樂!
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
Have a nice break guys!

avatar JockZon (JZ) says:

I was so devistated when I heard from Liz that Yoshi and Chigusa is out. What was going to happen to iLove?

Then when I listened to the news I got calmed down when the tone about they disappearing forever wasn’t definit.

Please try remain casual and don’t be too industrial! That’s one thing that scares me and it would really make the studying stressfull.

Yoshi -> I will really miss your jokes, Chigusa -> I will miss your awesome and attractive voice and your great english!

Guys, I really love Jpod and I thank you for all the knowledge I’ve got. It feels good to have a break though, I need to listen to a couple of lessons. House cleaning, very very nice.

Anyway, you MUST add pictures of the crew on the “about us” site. It’s a demand from my side  Nah, but it would really be nice. As you know, this is not a new request. Furthermore, why not have “Today’s voice actors” and their pictures when you add a new lesson?

“Wow, we ran abit long today” I hope this comment compensates all comments I haven’t written

Mina-san, arigatou!

My secretary Liz-san told me that I meant commercialized not industrial.

ganbarimasho! matta raishuu. ^_____________^

>Please try remain casual and don’t be too industrial!

A vision of Peterさん wearing a yellow hard hat, overalls and steel-capped boots teaching us industrial chemistry flitted briefly through my mind. I wonder how to say all the names of the organic chemicals. It’s been way too long since I did A-level chemistry and can’t really remember the naming conventions in English either. Sort of 1-2 di-methol benzine kind of thing. It’s coming back a bit now. A wavering image of benzine rings with alternating single and bi-valent bonds. Accidentally being chloroformed by one of my fellow students (yes really, someone left a beaker on my desk where I was doing write up. I felt a little woozy, got up to get some fresh air outside and fell off the stool. I had to crawl to the door. Reaching up for the doorknob was really hard.). Maybe I should stop, the whole image is becoming way to clear, in a sort of old public information film kind of way. The message is probably that it’s sometimes really hard to reach that door knob when life gives you a good chloroforming. I can’t believe I’m writing this.

Anyway, I’d suggest you all go out for a really good curry. Mata raishuu.

avatar Alain says:

Sorry, but I didn’t understand what happened to Yoshi-san; what does “upstairs” mean? Too quick english for me. I think english speakers understood? Yukkuri onegai shimasu.

avatar Alan says:

Alainさん、
It’s a euphomism for being prompted to management. It’s from the days when the shop-floor was downstairs in a factory and the administration and management offices were upstairs. There was also a reference to Yoshi having to wear a suit in the podcast. (I guess the pigeon outfit was a bit too casual)

Do they have podcast versions?

ははははははは
i don’t know how you got that image, but i’d spend good money to see that!(笑)
when Peterさん returns from 韓国 (Korea), let’s try to talk him into it. LOL!

Alainさん、
>Sorry, but I didn’t understand what happened to Yoshi-san; what does “upstairs” mean?

My understanding is he was snatched up by Erklaren, the Interpretation/Translation company often mentioned in the lessons. Japanesepod101.com is in the same building. Erklaren is on the same floor and upstairs floor.

I also miss Yoshi’s hilarious one liners. He was really part of what made Jpod101 so great!
But we’ve got some great stuff coming up!
Jpod101 has already gone pretty far beyond what any textbooks I’ve seen have done. And it’s only getting better!!!

I am so excited!!

Its Feb 23rd today and I was looking forward to burning another CD to listen in the car when I am away next week. Oh, dear.

Eran-san

thanks for explaining- I have been so busy that I have not yet been able to listen to the news item so far.

I appreciate the need to take stock (and a well deserved break for those committing to daily broadcasts).

Look forward to seeing how this develops.
