とてもおもしろいね

Did anyone else spot that Junji was wearing only one sock? Was there a reason for this?

私も次のを楽しみにしている。

avatar John C. Briggs says:

Yep, I spotted the one sock thing. Perhaps like Mike Jackson’s one glove thing. よしらしい ですね。 If you think that is a little strange, try out よしさん’s pictures on Mixi. I don’t dare to describe them here.
On the subject of clothes, what is with the skirt AND pants combination that Nanaseさん is wearing. Sure, I know other people do this, but it is a little like a belt and suspender combination sometimes seen on guys. Well, if the skirt falls off, at least she has pants. If the pants fall off, at least she has a skirt. I don’t get this.

Neilさん, excellent performance. I know it is not easy to come off looking so good on camera. Nice work on audio, video and acting. Of course, Chigusaさん and Yoshiさん did great as well. But I have come to expect this from them.

avatar katie says:

Johnさんー The skirt and pants combination is actual very stylish. but they are not called pants, they are called leggings and they provide extra warmth when its cold outside

http://www.instyle.com/instyle/trends/thelook/0,23460,1125965,00.html?page=1

i like junji’s hat

i hope Neil doesn’t give up!

avatar John C. Briggs says:

Katieさん,
I appreciate the information, but I am well aware of the style. Sometimes it is leggings under the skirt, sometimes it is jeans (at least in my part of the world). Victoria Secret even has a product called the “skirted pant” (I noticed it was on discount, so perhaps it is all over for that style). The point is either garment could be worn on its own and they look like a strange mis-match together. We can only hope it goes the ways of leg warmers and skorts soon. Also, we can hope the one sock thing doesn’t catch on. Talk about your mis-matches.

Hey JP101 and Listeners!

The video was very short and you guys keep me wanting for more!

 Great job now that I saw Neil-san he looks very attractive so it would be hard to know who she would pick:???: Brody-san is also very attractive too but he is hasn’t done anything like Neil-san is doing to know what happen?

Anyway Nanase-san you look great with those clothes whatever your choice is, I wish you the best of the best, you deserve it. Good Luck!

Katie-san welcome back! I agree with you I liked Junji-san hat too!
But I really don’t care about fashion  so I’m not buying nanase-san clothes, only the hat! S_R_C

avatar Abrassart says:

Neil is great! He rocks.

I hope he’s gonna make Junji-san’s plan fail. Keep calling her man!

avatar Sindy says:

PS: ohhh I forgot to mention Mikuji-san video  I saw the video and it was very nice I like it! The show or soup opera not sure is a typical family show!

Maybe I’ll try it out but I don’t know where to see it, you didn’t gave the link of the webpage, the producer company or so it will be hard to know:???:

I’ll check www.youtube.com
I recommend it great videos await you there! S_R_C

avatar katie says:

john さんーskorts! those and fanny packs need to make a comeback. i wore leggings under my dress today when i went to the mall to buy discounted skirted pants from victoria secrets.

avatar nanaka says:

皆さん、
As I will be away and celebrate Christmas and New Year with my in-laws I won’t be able to get online until the new year, just want to say:
メリークリスマス! 明けましておめでとうございます!!

It’s been a great year and I enjoyed most lessons (intermediate and above lessons are beyond my reach at the moment as I’m still a beginner, but I will definately catch up next year).

JPod の皆さん、ありがどうございます。おつかれさまでした。

avatar John C. Briggs says:

Katieさん, Very, very nice. ジョン

avatar Paul says:

OK Liz. Maybe you were right. Junji-san is a creep.

And to Neil I say don’t worry. JP101 wouldn’t give a bad ending to the story. You’ll get Nanase-san!

avatar Juan says:

This is friggin awesome. Keep it up guys. Im rooting for Neil. Rock on!

avatar Rob says:

Junji is so bad,
but this video is great,
the suspense kills me.

avatar Liz21 says:

Junji-san is soooooooo bad.

avatar annie says:

Johnさん,
that style is still going strong in japan. leggings with shorts are also very popular. personally i kind of like the style.
and, i am amazed at what people will post on mixi. but i’ve seen far stranger things in Japan.

Paulさん,
i’ve given up expecting the typical happy ending since i started watching j-drama.

avatar Vicky says:

John Briggs-san, that’s new fashioned these days. I do wear like that. Of cause with boots as well. It’s much better that you aren’t wearing pants on your video. LOL.

Btw, Neil-san speak pretty good Japanes eh?

Have a wonderful holidays Mina-san!!!
I’m heading to Vancouver Canada within 7 hours. I wish I can meet some people from jppod over there….come with me for ski or something….

avatar John C. Briggs says:

ヴィッキさん、
Well sure with boots with leggings look a little different. Then it almost looks like at skirt with very dark tights.
I have to laugh a little at all this. I went skirt shopping with my 14 year old daughter a few months ago. She wanted to dress up a little more than her typical low-rise jeans. We would see something that looked like a skirt on the rack, take it off the rack, and then discover that it was actually wide legged pants. There were very few skirts in the stores although we did eventually find and buy a couple.
Personally, I don’t say anything to my daughter about what she wears. I think this avoids unnecessary conflict. I will hold my peace until some more important issue comes up.

Vicky-san  I know you want to get to know me and other JP101 personally but instead of going to Canada, you should come to New York City and skate with me at Rockafeller Center!

PS: Now you know JP101 listeners if you want to get to know come to NYC or if your already here (NYC) then you know what to do call me like Blondie!

avatar Sophie says:

Hi mina-san,

I’m catching up and really enjoyed the video, Neil-san is excellent!
I thought bad-mood Nanase-san was very good too, if slightly careless with her keitai. And I couldn’t help wishing all kind of bad things on Junji-san.

Seeing how Nanase-san looks like when she’s in a dark mood, I think she is going to pounce on Junji-san when she finds out what happened, and it will hurt. ;)

avatar stanley S says:

Jpod101,

The video is getting more and more professional. I felt like watching a Japanese TV drama! Does the making require high-end studio grade equipment and software? Nathan さん, any hints?

Yoshi remind me of 周 星馳 チャウ・シンチー, one of the famous 喜劇俳優 in Asia.

keep up the good work. very, very nice!

avatar David Fox says:

Hey, my first post on JPod101!
Just found this great feature and I’m really enjoying it! I actually think Junji-san is really funny, especially the bit about Neil’s video being like a “science experiment gone wrong” and that she hated it so much she wanted to destroy the tape! He’s such a devious creep it’s actually quite funny.

But then after this episode, I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for her and yeah, maybe Junji is taking it a bit too far. What’s so great about this Mike guy anyway who he’s rooting for? Have we seen him yet?

avatar Corey Moncure says:

This series is great. One question about this episode:

How could it simultaneously be daytime in both Asheville NC and Tokyo Japan in December? It’s impossible =)

「婚約者?!」 w

avatar Brandon says:

This is a great series and its a great way to learn Japanese, but when I watch I just can’t help but laugh at the situation. I mean, Niel, you want a long-distance relationship with a girl you’ve never met for what reason or future plans?? Though it may be hilarious, taking any of these ideas out of the show would just make it more boring. Excellent work everyone! Thank you for doing this for us learners!

avatar Bob says:

I liked the modernized traditional music at the beginning and the end of the video. Where can I get this music?

avatar Your Mother says:

Just wanted to say that I didn’t realize DV camcorders can record at such good quality these days. Would love to see more Japanese dramas become popular on the net.

avatar Matt says:

where is iLove? bring it back!!

avatar Leonardo says:

What happened with iLove?
Please release more episodes!

avatar AP says:

Yes, I’m waiting eagerly too! iLove has been addictive  (but it does take quite a while to download though). Hope we get the next episode soon. Thanks for the great effort!

avatar aaaaaa says:

avatar alberto says:

Well, what can I said is a great video and my favorite part is when a beautiful lady apear in scene, as I think japanese woman are very beatifu.
Thank’sl

avatar Yehhhhh says:

Hi man,

I have just signed up two days ago, and this video programme is sooooo marvellous and it’s so additing!

Well, when is the next episode, Video #9 ?????
Hope it’s doesn’t have to wait long before I turn into a GIRAFFE…..

Great team! great work, Gambatte ne!!!

avatar Jenny says:

Yeah じゅんじさん changed his hair! What’s up with that strand up front?

Ok, Yoshi is very, very handsome, and very, very evil in these videos. Please come back so we can see more of you!!

avatar Adam says:

 It’s been almost a year since the last video!? What happened to Nanase!!!???

avatar Kitty says:

lol, yeah it’s almost a year. dou ninatta kana.. kininaru ne.

avatar Ali Haiku Girl says:

I’ve just watched all of these in one morning - sugoi desu ne! Buut what happens next?! Don’t leave us hanging like this!!

avatar cory says:

i just watched these today sugoi desu ne

i just relized that this was the last one…..i wish there was more but its been almost a year and i doubt it will continue….i wonder why it wont…hmmm :hachimaki:

avatar Tokugawa says:

i was trying to figure out from the last video what the deal with Chigusa was because she spoke both Japanese and American English fluently…yet her 一般的の 様子 only shows evidence of growing up in Japan.

then at the end of the video i think i found the answer! it was filmed in Mitaka, Tokyo, home of 国際基督教大学 which is where i studied as a 留学生. there are many native Japanese speakers who go there that are fluent in American and British english. chigusa-chan is not only hot, but smart too :kokoro: how can you not love that?

avatar Moh says:

@cory Yeah I agree … where is the rest of the series? This series is very creative … big ups to japanesepod101 for this … though I wish they will finish it up

avatar JockZon (JZ) says:

I was around when this was produced (you can see my video in one of the first episodes) and if I’m not mistaken chigusa-chan was studying in uhm canada(?) for a while and that’s why here english is so awesome. It’s better than mine o.O’

I got really sad when they didn’t finish this (I didn’t jump up and down screaming and crying but you get the deal  )

Hope they will though… sometime, somewhere

avatar bowauf says:

yep i to want it to continue ^^

whaha and in the previous episode i have the same name as the dog ^^
fun to hear my name :D nikki ^^
greetings hope the video will continue soon :)

avatar Jenny says:

Here it is two years later and still no finale to iLove? What’s happened to Chigusa and Yoshi? Last I heard Yoshi was touring the states. Is he still here or has he gone back to Japan? Sorry, I haven’t been keeping up with the new episodes in Jpod101.com other than Nihongo Dojo.

avatar Monica says:

Yeah, where is the end?? It’s been two years!!
