I took the level 4 this year in Paris. I think that JP101.com helped me a lot in the listening part of the exam, but I'll tell you in march if it is really true

Haven't you learned from your previous truths-telling (sic) incidents?

Besides, no one is provocing (sic) you (well, almost no one).

After looking on the web, it is now my understanding that the JLPT results for tests taken within Japan are reported in February. But if you are outside the country (like me), you don't get the results until March.

BTW, some of us are not counting their chickens before they hatch. Waiting for March.

Lu-chan,
Very interesting. Yes I think there were a lot of people at kinokuniya from the test. I spent $21 to park for one hour. There was a young lady looking over the ni-kyuu 二級 books for next year because she had taken the san-kyuu　三級 this year.
Before the test, I also met a woman that works at MIT in Boston and was taking the yon-kyuu 四級test. I think there were a lot of Massachusetts people there.

John-san...wow! you went to Kinokuniya after your test? I met friends there after they took the test too. WOW. we were in Kikokuniya at the same time. ^___^ i hope to take it next year.

to everyone else--I wish you the best test results in March.

and, I agree with others here that it would be great to have photos of the jpod crew with their bios. I think it would help with feeling more connected to the them and draw people ein. Not that we are not all drawn in by the great lessons and the fun they add to it.

Annieさん,
That is not fair. I thought we all had to wait until March. Why is NYC being singled out for late test scores.

and i thought that waiting till february for the results was bad enough! thank god i don't have to wait till march.

there seems to be a serious lack of materials for Japanese learners at the 2kyu/1kyu level.

Katarinaさん、
Although the JLPT 三級 tests takers might be very vocal, I think the average JPOD listener might be looking for something less serious. So I won't be surprised if JPOD does not take this on. In fact, they have gone the other direction and tried for lower intermediate to fill in between beginner and intermediate.
That being said, I too would love to see something on 二級.
BTW, some of us are not counting their chickens before they hatch. Waiting for March.

I am just wondering wheather we will be prepared for 2kyu next year by listening to this podcast. Because now almost all peaple who were writting did 3kyu and I think we all want to go with 2kyu next year or in 2 years. So Peter is it possible that this podcast will reach 2kyu level in one year? Because there is pretty big gap between 3kyu and 2kyu... I just god idea what about to make once a week podcasts focusing to passing 2kyu?! I think you can make many new listeners with something like this!!!
But anyway you are doing very good job! I listen to your podcast everyday when I go to school, when I prepare my food, when I co out with my dog....It is just amazing what you are doing!

i love listening to the podcasts. and i introduced them to my mom, who listened to tons of them before she came to visit me and i could tell that they definitely helped her in her two weeks here.

but, unfortunately i don't think that they helped me much on 2級. they just aren't advanced enough.

Ah man,

I found out about this website after I took yesterday's level 3 JPLT test! It was tough, but I think I did enough to pass! In anycase, well done to the founders of this website - it's really cool and I am sure it will help people learn Japanese well!

I will definitely tell people about this website!

My friend and I recently launched a new website with the aim to bridge cultural communication between the UK and Japan so please check it out and spread the word also!

Ah, I just saw Ma-to Shiburuさん's message. Yes, I think that was the exact question. Thanks!

Peterさん: Thanks for all the podcasts! Oh, I think I may have converted a few people to jpod101 at the JLPT test - They seemed to struggle with the listening section, so I gave jpod101 a heavy plug...
