Mina-san,

Today’s location is パラマリボ・Paramaribo - hello to all of our listeners in Paramaribo, Republic of Suriname!

Peter, this conversation has your fingerprints all over it.

avatar Alain says:

Thank you Peter, Yoshi and Take for this lesson with informal men’s speaking.

That’s the hardest for me in Japan: understand what men say when they are together in a noisy bar or a restaurant. Not only what they tell me, but also the comments they have together or the jokes.
(It could be interesting to have such situations in the intermediate lessons: baseball, beer or car…).

I’m back again, fellows!

I’m very out of date for what is going on here. Since I stayed three months without internet, I get lost. I’m still getting used to it again. Vicky-san brought to my attention that Liz-san is coming to another year in their life.

Liz-san, that everyday when you wake up be a victory for you and your friends. Let this birthday be a happy remembrance of how victorious you are ^_^

avatar Claudenir says:

bakaneko-san,

Daniel-san,

I think he’s going to yell at me  You can watch if you don’t have a weak stomach. Ron was raised by a pack of really mean badgers

avatar Daniel Beck says:

Nathanさん、

Ron? Uh-oh, you didn’t even get his name right. Better duck!

I don’t have a weak stomach. Maybe I should come by the office and videotape this.

avatar Peter says:

Lizさん、誕生日おめでとうございます。

avatar Vicky says:

Liz, the b/day Gal, -san

It’s not over yet. We are shooting ur #s if not, at least Sweet 16 x 2 + 1…do u know why I get this # from??

Sweet (16×2+1) x 2 =

avatar Claudenir says:

I know many of you out there use the 1024×768 screen resolution. But as my monitor doesn’t support it I have to put it in 800×600. So I can’t see the whole width at once…. Just a little question for the tech team: Why does the horizontal rolling bar stay just at the bottom of the page? You know, it’s a little of work to me to go down just to roll it to the side…

Claudenir

avatar Miki says:

Happy birthday, happy birthday, baby
Oh, I love you so

16×2+1?? candles make a lovely light
But not as bright as your eyes tonight (as your eyes tonight) (oh)
Blow out the candles, make your wish come true
For Ill be wishing that you love me, too (that you love me, too)

Youre only 16×2+1?? (16×2+1??)
But youre my teenage queen (youre my queen)
Youre the prettiest, loveliest girl Ive ever seen (Ive ever seen) (oh!)

16×2+1?? candles in my heart will glow
For ever and ever for I love you so (for I love you so)

Liz-san!!
お誕生日おめでとうございまーす!

Love,
Yoshi

avatar Liz21 says:

Yoshi-san!
I am moved by your song!!!! I could almost hear your (lovely) voice singing as I read the words!
Thanks for all you do for JPOD!!

avatar Daniel Beck says:

Yoshi Yoshi Yoshi…blah blah blah…

Our Vickyちゃん™、

I asked TechGuyさん, and he doesn’t know who Ron is. Maybe it’s someone from Nathanさん’s anxiety closet.

avatar ヴィッキ says:

Daniel-san, Nathan-san calls Eran-san as Ron. I don’t know why though….maybe he can tell us.

Anyway….what a nice song. I would like to hear how the melody goes. I can see Liz-san’s smiling face all the way from here. Must be nice, eh?

avatar Liz21 says:

ヴィッキさん
Ha ha!! Where are you?

And, there are too many disguises here! I thought Yoshi-san was Miki-san! Or was Yoshi-san really Miki-san? This is too confusing!! I wasn’t sure who was singing to me!

avatar Yoshi says:

It was me! Yoshi!

Miki was using the same desk top in the office earlier, and I forgot to change the name

But, Yes, It’s me Liz-san

Love,
Yoshi blah blah blah

avatar Barbara says:

Liz-san,
nansai desu ka? Anatawa nijukyusai desu ka? Watashi mo nijukyusai desu! Honto desu!

(remember, “in Japan no one is ever over nijukyu”…lesson B24, Talking about Age)

Happy Birthday Liz-san!

avatar Jean-Michel says:

Mina-san,
There seems to be an inconsistency in the spelling of どれぐらい / どれくらい
between the kanji and kana transcripts. From the audio I would rather guess “gurai” but can anybody confirm what it should be actually?
Thanks,
Jean-Michel
