Good question but it is hard to explain all of them here.
We have the lesson series which issues the particles.
Please check them out and let us know your questions.

Hi again Johnny,
Thank you for your comments :) Please rest assured that our lesson style has come a long way since the beginning, and that we'll continue to have our lessons focus on delivering high-quality content and teaching Japanese :dogeza:

Actually I am now in Intermediate and have finished all Lower Intermediate ones. From my perspective Lower 6 is the best and most professional one. One of the main reasons is Peter is not there. Peter has the best expertise and knowledge in Japanese and teaching but not in joking. That's what I would like to express. Please always focus on delivering knowledge of Japanese to listener and leave those chatting and catching up out of the class. BTW, JapanesePod101 is still the best recommendation from me to every Japanese learner.

Hi Johnny,
This is the style of a lot of our older lessons, but you'll find that our newer lessons are very structured and and get straight into the content. I recommend jumping ahead to lower Intermediate Seasons 4, 5, and 6 for lessons like this :)

Peter, to be honest, would you cut off your boring jokes a little bit? 99.9% of them are really boring. And too much laughing also makes people annoyed. I would rather like to have much more professional and serious teaching content instead of non-funny joking and fooling around most of the time.

I really enjoyed this. I liked how you told the entire story in Japanese, and then did it slower, and then did it one more time with the English translation as you went. This worked extremely well I think. :)

Hello,

You have the very well presented Particle lessons. Maybe you could in the lessons inform people which particle lesson they could use to get more information related to the lesson. In this case "to". You could make more use of the particle lessons plus help add some re-enforcement work to the main lesson the person is studying.....

food for thought

Cheers

Peter, English has the exact translation for 重い病気．It is a "grave illness". Serious illness or other situation is often described as grave, which comes from the Latin "gravis" or heavy. (Like gravity.)

In fact, if you ever watched the original "Back to the Future" movie, you might remember 1980's Marty often used the slang "Heavy" whenever he heard serious news. He used the expression so much that 1950's Doc asked him if there was something wrong with the gravity in the future.
