Mina-san, we hope you enjoy this episode of iLove, and have a great weekend!
We would like to personally thank Matt Henry for putting together and directing the Nampa shoot. We’d also like to thank Zeniff Rodriguez for appearing as Mike! おつかれさまでした。
どうもありがとうございました!

Two more things

I want to speak to my Japanese friends in Japanese just like that!!
1) Where does Junji-san’s character begin and Yoshi-san’s personality end? Or are they both the same?
2) I loved hearing an American guy and a Japanese guy talking together in Japanese. This is my own dream!!

Loved it!

Nice episode with a pretty interesting story so far. I like Yoshi especially because he’s quite funny and makes me laugh sometimes. My first impression of Chigusa (from Chapter 1) was like “Wow, she’s…. she’s good-looking”, which I didn’t really expect.
Anyway, I never really thought that you could find learn-Japanese videos on the internet with such cool actors.
Saturday at 2:08 am
Way cool. I always suspected Junji was a bit fo a sneak. Wanting Nanase-san for himself. Still there ios some hope since he was trying to help his friend.
Nanase-san has a tough choice ahead of her.

Nathan-san,
(If I dump her, I’m sure you’ll go to her )
Did you write this: 俺が彼女のことを降ったら、きっとお前の元へ。 ? What is up with that?
What kind of a boyfriend is he if he is thinking about the possiblity of dumping her???
Saturday at 3:15 am
I mean: “If I dump her I’m sure she’ll go to you.” Ooops
Saturday at 3:51 am
I wonder if the guy in the background is somebody’s spy…

Yoshi Yoshi Yoshi…blah blah blah…
Speaking of whom…
Yoshiさん、
I’ll be heading down to 九州 next weekend!
Oh, and are you coming to Ben’s Café this weekend?
Saturday at 9:14 am
For some sick and perverted reasons, I was expecting the revelation to be Nanase-san dropping us the bomb that she is actually a lesbian.

hahaha I love the twist Jpod team!!!
Saturday at 3:58 pm
Definitely another great video.
The story is becoming more and more intriguing, I really don’t know what to expect to happen in the next episodes!
Yoshi-san, you acted greatly as always!
Hey, Zeniff, you did a great job also!
This “iLove” drama is definitely becoming a big deal, my congratulations to all JP101 team for the great job you always do, with excellent results!!!
Looking forward next video,

Nampa Florida?? I think I see a Da Vinci Code like conspiracy here.
In Japanese, if we see a ’ん’ before a ‘p’, it changes to an ‘m’ sound. So if we write ‘Nanpa’ in Japanese, it comes out like this:
なんぱ. I’ll give everyone a second to toggle Rikachan, and look it up…
Nanpa = Flirting! Maybe the writers of iLove are trying to tell us something about the story.
I also have a request:
中級レッソンがありません。いいけど。でも、問題は、ビデオはmp3プレイヤへ入れませんのに。
Would it be possible to get the video in mp3? I’m sure all it would be take would be a clever little techie to feed the m4v into a certain program, and get an mp3 out the other end.
もしよかったら、他の日本人の男のは読んでもいいでございますか?
(If it’s ok, could we get another Japanese guy to read? Sorry, when I try to use polite form I’m sure I use some bad Japanese)
Saturday at 7:02 pm
それは思いがけないよ。ミケくんとじゅんじくんは悪い少年ね。かわいそう彼女達。
Saturday at 7:10 pm
メイケ or メイク might be better for ‘Mike’ perhaps.
Saturday at 8:28 pm
Maxiewawa-san, what do you mean with m4v to mp3. Mp3 is for audio only.
Sunday at 2:11 am
You mean “Mike” was a plant all along?! He’s such a good singer too.
Sunday at 2:14 am
Re m4v, it’s hard to find a player that understands that file extension. I couldn’t get my linux box at work to play it. I think Maxiewawa is asking if there’s a way to convert it to something more universally recognized.
Sunday at 3:06 am
I believe what Maxさん is looking for is a way to rip just the audio out of the video file to an mp3 so he can play it on an mp3 player that’s not video (or m4v/mp4) capable. I don’t know about in Windows, but there is a way to do it on the Mac though it’s a little roundabout.
1) open iMove HD and create a new project
2) import the m4v you want to extract the audio from
3) drag the imported clip down to the timeline
4) right click on the clip and choose Extract Audio
5) this’ll create a seperate audio track that you can then copy/paste to your desktop or whatever folder you want. It’ll be saved as an aiff file.
6) use itunes or some other program to compress the aiff to mp3
m4v is really just mp4. One player that supports it is VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc). There is a version of VLC for just about every platform out there including quite a few Linux distros. There’s even a BeOS version.

成るほど!The great thing about the mp3s is that I can carry them around in my mp3 player. Not so the m4vs.
Whenever I’m in the local bookshop, I always wander over to the Japanese section and look through the manga. Sometimes I find the ‘adult’ section, with pictures of naked ladies and leering guys. I can’t read all of the Japanese in these stories, but I imagine the plotlines are very similar to this episode iLove!
Sunday at 12:26 pm
Nampa is actually the real name of our city, so the fact that it’s where part of iLove takes place is just a coincidence. Still, I thought that was really funny when I found out about it.
Thanks for all the comments about the video (Zeniff will be surprised to hear people liked his acting; he was really self-concious about it.) Most of you probably noticed that there was a significant drop out in sound quality between Junji and Mike’s shots, and that’s primarily my fault. I’m a rather poor college student and have yet to splurge on getting a quality microphone, but after this shooting, it’s become apparent that I need to bite the bullet and get one, so the next time you see Mike, you’ll hopefully be able to hear him much better.
Sunday at 1:44 pm
Great acting. I didn’t imagine JPD101 will go as far as this. This video is so funny (I could not help but laugh). Specially when Yoshi’s “tenacity” to pursue the two lost targets comes up, and while “dreaming” of Mike’s girlfriend.
Mike’s girlfriend must look like Nanase as per Yoshi’s and Mike’s concurrency on taste and description.

Hey, I have to cast this! Don’t make it harder than it is!

Fantastic! I dowload the file just now, Guys what a twist!
I love it, is to much cool

I can’t wait to see what is the evolution of the history!
Rodriguez-san, congratulations what a work, really good!
Yoshi-san, you rocks!
Greetings to all, and have a great week!

I think what Bakaneko san means is that the title of the videos might not be the greatest fit to the unveiling plot, which kind of agree (if so).
For instance, I may have called this one “In war and iLove anything goes.” Well, nevertheless, it is tons of fun to watch the video.

I just watched this episode now and WOW!

The most funny and original comment from all here was bakaneko-san he really is like the rest of guys out there with pevert minds!
