I was just listening to this lesson as I had somehow accidentally skipped over it earlier. Anyway, I'm glad i found it but this lesson was HILARIOUS. The best was Yoshiさん's voice acting, especially at the end when he was said: コジロめ。。。この裏切り者！LOL!! 面白い！

I know there would be no choice if it were between my dogs and their love for me. I would win hands down because my dogs (Yellow Labs) love me a whole bunch.

Great lesson and very funny.

あい路が問うございます
(I hope that came out okay. My apologies if not).

Mikuji-san, thanks for the feedback! We're almost there. There are several important informal structures, namely the plain volitional, that will be used in more complex grammar structures. So we just have to make sure we cover them. As always thank you for the feedback!

Dear JPOD1010 team,

I am enjoying these informal speech lessons but could we soon also go back to the more complex yet daily used expression that I find mighty difficult such as the causative, the use of kureru and morau in the context of getting people to do things for you and the awesome passive form (a first step to keigo forms, too)?

Whilst knowing the informal is great to understand other people and anime, the chance of using it are slim for those who do not live in Japan. Conversely, the more formal expressions are those we get to see more often in reports, news, culture articles and published stuff in general. I am starting to feel that my progress in that direction is getting dangerously slow... .

Thanks a lot

Alanさん、

The Nagasaki Connection has done a Nagasaki-ben lesson before. But, yes, they should do another one!

It worries me a bit that Japanese has a sound for foxes.

Peterさん、

What is a "yuuman"? As in "let's look at what a dog thinks about some yuumans." Sounds like another one for the Save Peter Campaign™.

Max-san, I think 'decide' was the verb 'kimeru', with 'houhou' just meaning 'method'. However I think you can add -kata to the Base 2 verb stem (the one that ends in -i), So maybe 'way to decide' would be 決めり方. Any thoughts anyone. By the way, does adding -kata like this make it into a noun?

So the dialogue used:
じゃ、決める方法あがるわ。= Well, there exists a way to decide.

Maybe we could also say:
じゃ、決め方があるわ。

Does this work?
