Mina-san, we cannot thank you enough for your incredible entrees! It is amazing listeners like yourself that make projects like this possible! Hontou ni arigatou gozaimasu! JapanesePod101.com used pieces of entree’s videos, but did not alter entree’s videos in any way, shape or form. The work of the entrees is entirely their own creations.
Saturday at 8:28 pm
Amazing! I am stunned. This was so funny, and thing how many musicians there are here
I hope we don’t have to wait another month for next iLove.
Saturday at 8:36 pm
Sugoi desu ne.
Can’t wait to see it.
Saturday at 8:37 pm
JockZonさん、お疲れ様でした。Now you know how we felt! You and the rest of the videos blew us away! We’ll also be releasing the individual clips in their in entirety with commentary! You guys deserve it!

Saturday at 8:46 pm
very nice, thank you the videos with japanese sub is great!
just one thing: the kink to the kanji close -up is bad: it is again the lesson note, and the link of the audio of the intermediate lesson#31 is invalid
have a good day: here in chamonix the sun is shining!
Saturday at 9:00 pm
Very very good! I’m glad I get to chance to watch the video before heading to airport!!! Hope I can catch the flight.
Great video, love to see all video together!!!
Love you guys~~~
Saturday at 9:04 pm
Btw, don’t you think Yoshi-san copied my ending??/
Good to see you guys out there again, Gotta go!
Saturday at 9:09 pm
Wow, so many great videos! But when do we get to see the girls?
Saturday at 9:15 pm
Fantastic videos!! Fantastic editing!! The dialogue with Yoshi and Chigusa was so great and natural (and funny!!!) I loved the part when Yoshi asked Chigusa if he still had a chance!!
Thanks for the subtitles!! I plan to watch this again and again and learn some natural sounding Japanese!!
Personal note: I have to go out soon and I thought I would miss the video, but here it was, bright and early!
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday at 9:25 pm
yay! the video was awesome. Wow there’s so many talented listeners out there, now i can’t wait to see the full lenght videos of each person. and Yoshi-san made me laugh so hard in the beginning there
Saturday at 9:38 pm
All I can say is:
hee hee hee!
Nanase-san summed me up perfectly!
Saturday at 10:20 pm
Sugoi desu ne! Great videos all around, and awesome job by JP101 to do the montage.
Have a great weekend everyone
Saturday at 10:24 pm
Indeed a great show. Once again I learned some usefull japanese words and phrases. However, I’m afraid I’ll never fully understand the english tongue! I consulted in vain an english dictionnairy for the meaning of a “1:59er”. Fortunately, the english of a japanse dictionary was not so cryptic: 送り狼 (おくりおおかみ) : gentleman” who escorts a woman home, only to make a pass at her. But I still do not understand the connection with 1:59.
Maybe Peter has an explanation… Thank you in advance.
Saturday at 10:52 pm
ス・ゴ・イ〜!!
That was brilliant. So much talent and effort. And what a great collaboration.
(you could have altered my video to make me seem less wooden :lol)
I hate to nitpick (since I’m such a huge target myself!) but I always found this funny.
(Niell-san’s video)
Doesn’t yasashii hito mean promiscuous rather than kind person?!
易しい人 [やさしいひと] (exp) promiscuous person
優しい [やさしい] (adj) tender, kind, gentle, graceful, affectionate, amiable, suave.
So on the full length commentary tracks are Chigusa-san and Yoshi-san going to do a Beavis and Butthead number on them?!
Saturday at 11:51 pm
Great video guys, after seeing this, I cant wait for the next episode. Though I was hoping for more. But this will do for now. hehehe. I want to know where this will lead to as the story develops.
Sunday at 12:18 am
ものすげー!!!
JP101 really did a awesome job!!!
The video is extremely amusing and the montage is perfect!
Chigusa-san and Yoshi-san, you are great!!!
It was well worth waiting for this release, and I’m already looking forward for the next “iLove” episode!!!
次の「アイ・ラブ」のエピソードを待ちきれない!!!

Kudos to the JPOD team on the INCREDIBLE video. Wicked good. Wicked!
Sunday at 1:11 am
Hi Mina-san!
Thanks for all your nice comments! I myself enjoyed this whole thing. Everyone is amazing. And Liz-san, you, too! As Peter said, this is done all because of your kind support and your passion for learning Japanese. Thank you everyone! And thank you Peter for having me as the part of this.
It was nice meeting you Rene-san. I hope you have a nice trip back. (No leaning from a stranger unless it’s a cute girl) Anyways, I have to answer your question about 1:59ers because I put that translation. 1:59ers are the people(usually guys) who go to the bars at 1:59 when they are about to close up just to find drunk women/men to take them home. It has the same feeling with 送り狼 who is really nice, they even take you home, but all they have in their mind is just one thing! Watch out little lambs!
Mina-san, oyasuminasai!
Sunday at 1:16 am
ビデオは最高ですね。本当にもの凄いです。jpodのチームは最高です。
There were some amazing video’s in there. Thanks everybody. I can’t wait to see the full versions. I’ll just go read the pdf & then will have to watch it again. I’m really looking forward to the commentaries on our entries.
Wow! I still can’t believe it. Now I’m looking forward to seeing the girls’ entries. Wow! eh. Wow!
Sunday at 1:25 am

Sunday at 1:25 am
Amazing, really amazing!
もの すごい!
am stunned to.
Incredible edition of the video! Absolutely funny!
As Peterさん says WHAT A COMMUNITY!!!!!

Chigusa-san and Yoshi-san, great, great work! As always thanks to all for the hard work. Great weekend to all the world!
I can’t wait for more!
Sunday at 1:58 am
My favorite is the Big Bad Wolf! iLove is the coolest!
Sunday at 2:02 am
HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Officially the best thing I’ve ever seen on the internet. Holy God, that was hilarious!
And I would’ve voted on Neil solely for holding up that copy of Hard Boiled Wonderland. His video was amazing too, of course.
It also really brought a sense of accomplishment for the website and showed me how well-founded the community is. Sweden, California, Norway–even my home state! (NC)–it was all so nicely woven together. You guys are fantastic and I can’t wait until the next one!
Sunday at 2:29 am
Ok, what is Jason saying at the end. It sounds to me like
めんどうくさい しゃべりかた まん どう ぜ。 こいつ は まら。ごめん.
Troublesome way of speaking ???? ! This person ????. sorry.
1. I couldn’t figure our the ‘まん どう’ bit.
2. Surely I misheard ‘まら’
Sunday at 3:39 am
I still can’t get over Chigusa-san’s response to Yoshi: “Nai desu ne”!!
Chigusa-san, you said that so well. I laugh every time I see it!
Sunday at 3:50 am
このビデオは最高です。物凄い!!!
This is a great work. Keep it up.
Sunday at 3:51 am
That was awesome! Well done to everyone.
Everytime Chigusa-san zings Yoshi-san (in part I and II) I crack up too.
Sunday at 7:07 am
No fair! Who could possibly win if they’re against not one but FOUR Neils?
Sunday at 7:19 am
Actually Yoshi, that was a different “rene” that posted up there…
But yeah, it was nice meeting you too. Next time we get together, we’ll have to down some beers and go 1:59′ing in Roppongi.
Sunday at 9:11 am
I think Jason is right………but this was thing was just for fun anyway…….
Sunday at 1:40 pm
Mina-san!
I just finished taking a look at it: You can download the movie with Japanese subs!!
Also, you get the complete transcript of the video in 4 four forms (kanji, hiragana, romaji and English)
Plus, you can add kanji and vocabulary words from the video! All of this could keep me busy for hours!
I was so fascinated by the video that I didn’t realize there was stuff in the Learning Center.
Sunday at 2:01 pm
Actually, the video transcript has 3 forms only (kanji, hiragana and English)
Sunday at 7:10 pm
I’d like to put this on YouTube. It’s Copyrighted to JPod though…
おねがい!
Sunday at 8:42 pm
Wow!! I am kept in suspense till the next episode/chapter of iLove. Can’t wait. iam guesing that Junji-san (the handsome Yoshi) is going to bring out his video to Nanase-san (the beautiful and good looking Chigusa). I can’t wait till thenext one in 2 weeks. Good work to all the people working on it. It looks great.
Sunday at 9:07 pm
@Paul-san,
Naw, I reckon that before Yoshi gets to present his video, the Deather will swoop down in his spaceship and abduct the beautiful Chigusa. Yoshi-san will put out an SoS call to all the entrants to help. Brody will immediately transform into magical boy (in an over-long complex transformation sequence involving lots of wild gyrations) and enlist the help of the 4 Neil’s who turn out to be shapechanging mechanoids, who conveniently have their own spaceship. The scene cuts to outerspace, where the Deather is tormenting Chigusa (cue scene with lots of tenticals - bang goes that Universal/General Release certificate). Can the Hero’s catch up the the Deather? Can Brody carry off that skimpy lycra outfit successfully. Inevitably the credits roll once again.
(Apologies to the Deather for making him the villain)
Sunday at 10:17 pm
Awesome! Sugoi! Exteremely well done and tastefully integrated into iLove. I couldn’t have imagined it any better than this. Thanks everyone at JapanesePod101.com for all of the hard work you put into this production.
Sunday at 10:18 pm
…still waiting for spell-check or “edit post” functions. Exteremly = extremely.
Monday at 12:09 am
The Deather commends your words, for he is the greatest villan ever known, but he still desires love!
Monday at 12:18 am
Sylvie-san, yeah, the one with the Japanese subtitles is really nice! And thanks for pointing the kanji link out! Ohayou Shamonii シャモニー!
Vicky-san, Solvi-san and Liz21-san, I’ve heard that the girls will be appearing sometime soon!
Joey-san, arigatou gozaimasu! We do have some incredibly talented listeners! And Yoshi is too funny!
Brody-san, a star is born! Shine, Brody, shine!
Mark-san, glad you liked it! Apologies about your video, but there was a format problem. We’re trying to fix it for the individual clips.
Rene-san, thanks for the kind words and for listening. Yoshi is actually the one who introduced us to the word, as he used to live in California and it is a west coast word. After hearing the explanation we thought it worked pretty well, but yes, gentleman” who escorts a woman home, only to make a pass at her is accurate.
Belton-san, thank you! Your video was huge! Really great stuff! It is really amazing to think we had videos from 6 countries! What a community! And the quality of the stuff blew us away!!! Thanks again!
Perhaps your thinking of やらしい - which means dirty (in a sleezy sense) is what you were thinking of?
Juan-san, awesome video! I was pulling for you just for the fact it was shot in Central Park!
We’ll have the individual clips up later!
Carloさん、great job with the video! You too are great! Everyone in the video was great!!! Thank you again! Also, we’ll have your entire video up, as we want to show everyone those amazing Italian mountains!
Yoshi, thank you! You really are destined for great things! Hollywood watch out!
Alan-san, thank you!! Your original song was great! Especially, the karaoke version! Did Nanase and Junji sing along? The answer is……….
You’ll have to watch the Big Bad Wolf’s entire clip!
BTW, where did you learn 送りオオカミ?
Dionさん、見てくださいましてありがとうございました!よしとちぐさはお上手ですね!
Hugo-san, thanks for the entry, and for the post! Glad you liked it!
Dimitri-san, the Big Bad Wolf was good!
Rob-san, thanks for the すごい feedback! Yeah, everyone really came through! We are beaming over here!
Benedictさん、ありがとうございました!
スティーブン2112 さん、I know! They have such good chemistry it never gets old!
Jason-san, way to close things out! And, four Neils that was tough to beat!
Rene-san, thanks again for coming up! I can’t wait to see your blog entry about Yoshi.
Casey-san, what a voice!
Liz-san, yes! There is a ton of stuff in the learning center.
Max-san, we’ll be putting them up shortly. We were just waiting to get a few of them first.
Paul-san, haha! That was actually the original plan. However, our listeners made such good videos that we couldn’t compete.
Alan-san, thanks for posting an impossible-to-top story! I like it! I wonder where we can get a spaceship?
Daniel L-san, thanks for the feedback! Yeah thanks to our amazing listeners this one is going to be tough to top!
Monday at 12:19 am
Matt-san, too funny!
Monday at 1:35 am
>Did Nanase and Junji sing along? The answer is……….
I can’t wait to find out
Monday at 5:06 am
Monday at 6:09 am
Sindy-san,
Sorry to correct you, but the two guys that Chigusa picked were:
Neil and Brody.
Monday at 8:19 am
Listening to us 外国人 a couple of times, it occurs to me how weird we sound.
If you listen to Yoshi-sensei and the other japanesepod 男子たち they speak very low and always seem to be on the edge of mumbling. Even Yoshi-sensei, whose voice is a bit higher speaks with the a slurred tongue.
We all sound a little cutting, a little too song-birdy. Personally, I seem to remember each syllable only after saying the one before it, so each syllable sounds a bit staccato.
I’d be interested in hearing 先生たちの thoughts on this.
Monday at 8:29 am
Maxさん, that’s a great idea — feedbacks from the Jpod101 先生 about our pronunciation would help us to identify the wrong things that we may not be aware of so that we can correct it.
An episode on the “common” mistake of pronunciation or grammar usage found in the video would be very instructive.
Monday at 11:09 am
Mina-san,
A no-subtitles version of the video has just been added under the Premium Content column. Enjoy!
Tuesday at 12:14 pm
JP101:
One more great video. I guess, video productions are the next spin off from JP101. Peter was right, it’s a great video collection. Now, it’s Chigusa’s turn to tell all about herself or to make a video of her skills (Well, to me, no skills needed).
Yoshi,
What’s up with watching a video with a nice girl in the kitchen?
A new strategy or it suppose to a studio apartment?
At the end of the video, I thought Yoshi was about to come up with his own video (may be with a mask?).
Great job.
Tuesday at 12:23 pm
Seriously, Yoshi and Chigusa look more relaxed and natural in this episode. Great.
I agree with Liz21. The moment Yoshi asked about his chances, it’s really fun and embarrasing (I could help but laugh).
Wednesday at 8:31 pm
It took me so long to post on this lesson because I had too much to say (and was very very busy).
But, I will relate that I saw this on my iPod while on the train here in Tokyo. I couldn’t help laughing out loud and I had a stupid grin on my face. Just another 変な外人 is probably what the others on the train were thinking.
Our Vickyちゃん™!
Yes, I do think Yoshiさん stole your move! I heard he denies this. Perhaps it was unconscious, but it’s undeniably influenced by you and the HOUC™!
Wednesday at 9:05 pm
I get royalties on that too. That’s a “derived work” you know.
Wednesday at 9:46 pm
Jasonさん、
Check’s in the mail!
Thursday at 4:26 am
Jason-san and Daniel-san, who is giving away the check???
I want some checks too!
Thursday at 11:54 pm
Wow! Great episode and videos. “Nonexistent” lol. Poor Yoshi-san.
It’s ok, Rene, I’d never heard of a “1:59er” either.
Thursday at 11:57 pm
“Daddy Warbucks” hahaha! At first I thought that meant you were really rich and about to sweep her away to your private tropical island ^^
Friday at 11:04 pm
Laura-san
, tube ticket and ramen special more likely
talk about a cultural reference. I think Peter-san or somebody was being kind in the subtitling. I would have gone with “baldy old git” for 蛸坊主のじじ。
Private Island
Wednesday at 1:21 am
Brody & Neil!!! You guys rock!!! I had fun watching brody’s video, just hilarious!!
Neil with his creative music video!!
Saturday at 12:31 pm
“as for my chance…”
“noneexisting”
lmao that was a good one lol
Tuesday at 11:56 am
Ha ha lol…not bad!
