Mina-san,
We hope you all had a great weekend! Enjoy today’s lesson
Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!

Only asking because I am saving the mp3 files in order..

Okaerinasai Nagasaki Connections!!
I’d like to add something. I was told that if you want to invite your guest in you can also say Agattekudasai, but that’s really polite.
Mijukiさん、毎度ありがとうざいます。Thanks for pointing that out. Also, line-by-line is now up in the learning center.
Nazさん、so far I haven’t been greeted with that expression, so maybe I’m hanging around with the wrong crowd.
Very nice expression! One of the expressions coming up in House Visit II.
hi 皆さん
line-by -line works fine.
Actually, I’m posting to let everyone know I got the JLPT paperwork
… In the space for “jap language institution you belong to” I’m going to put JAPANESEPOD101.COM ![]()
So, now you better make me study enough to pass ![]()
Is there anybody else for Rome, Italy?
Peterさん,
Haven’t told you and your group how much I appreciate all that you do to bring us this great language. I have to admit to being distreacted by other things recently, but I am doing my best to keep up with you all (sorry, the Texan in me just came out).
Anyway, arigatou gozaimasu so much for everything.

Nagasaki Connection rocks!
Especially Takaseさん!
Peterさん、
What do you mean when you agreed that Takaseさん wasn’t wanted in the studio?
Yoshiさん、
Good job in slipping that Nagasaki-ben into the lesson! Keep it up!
My favorite moments:
When Peter cracked up Takase-san by talking about yelling through a keyhole! ![]()
When Yoshi-san finally spoke up to Peter’s teasing and said in a loud voice, “STOP!”
The lesson came in handy today, since I had a Japanese visitor to my house. I greeted him at the door with, “Douzo. O hairi kudasai.” Thanks for being so relevant and useful!
Rdesireeさん、putting us as your language school, classic!! What level are you taking? And, are you using the JLPT section of the website?
Also, I know we have other listeners in ローマ!
Nateさん、it is our pleasure.
We want to show the world how fun and interesting Japanese can be!
Danielさん、nice to know Takase has you on her side.
Lizさん、yeah, my favorite parts too. Yoshi is too funny.
Thanks for the story about Japanese visitor!
Hi everyone, お早うございまーす!
I’m gonna try to add to Naz-san’s comment about “Agatte kudasai.” It really means please come up. Very polite. And you can take it as please come in. I think lots of the traditional Japanese houses, hotels (旅館 Ryokan) and buildings had the floor higher than the entrance. You take off your shoes there and step up into the house. You can keep the house cleaner that way. The dirt don’t get in much because of the floor level. And we still have the entrances made that way even the hight is not as high as before. So “Agatte kudasai” came from that, I think, and we still say it as please come in. And you can also say “Douzo Oagari kudasai” to make it even more polite than “Agatte kudasai.”
上がって下さい。(Agatte kudasai.)
どうぞお上がり下さい。(Oagari kudasai.)
It’s kinda funny to see both chinese characters “up” and “down” in one sentence. Alright, I hope it helped.
I long to see The Rock’s eyebrow move up and down while I’m in his arms,
Yoshi
Kanji (ロックの腕の中で彼の眉毛が上下に動くのを見る事を熱望する。)
Kana (ロックのうでのなかでかれのまゆげがじょうげにうごくのをみることをねつぼうする。)
I long to see The Rock’s eyebrow move up and down while I’m in his arms,
はっ?い、いや。やはり知りたくもない。。。
Great lesson as always, always something new to learn! ![]()
Guys, JPOD101 and his people are the best, after hear the lesson my day get better ![]()
Well, I must return to the books…
Hugo-san, as always, thanks for the comment!
We feel the same way about comments!
Jasonさん、その気持ちがよくわかります。
Jasonさん、
Yeah, I think we’re better off not knowing.
Great lesson - Nagasaki Connection rocks! Need to make sure I’m not eating while listening to lessons featuring them though.
