I even registered in a class to learn the proper way of speaking it instead of just memorizing phrases, however, during the course of my studies I still needed some help since I don’t converse in Japanese on a daily basis. I discovered Japanese pod and start listening to it to help me with my vocabularies and sentence structures. The podcast would have been a great way of learning the language (at least for me), however, Peter (I think that’s his name) chit chat is quite annoying. The Chinese pod is mores straightforward, goes right into the lessons and the repetitions and explanation helps a lot. I started learning Japanese about a year ago. Naturally enough, within our company we distinguished between the two shops by calling one おばちゃん弁当, and the other お姉ちゃん弁当. Naturally, we didn't tell the "obachanbento" what we called their shop among ourselves. By the way, the corresponding (and somewhat disparaging) term from middle-aged men like me would be 親父 (oyaji, a somewhat impolite word for father, similar to "my old man" in English). Great conversation today.
