I'm not too sure about the water parks and pools in Japan, as I've only been once. But the oceans seem to be extremely understaffed when it comes to lifeguards. The locations for the World Basketball Championships are quite interesting! Sapporo, Sendai, Hamamastu, and Hiroshima. I think this is great idea, as the visitors and teams will get a chance to see some smaller cities and get a better "taste" of Japan. Out of the 4 cities listed above, I've only been to Sendai. So far, I've been there twice, and it was great both times! Group A is quite lucky! Would love to hear about the other cities.
