Mina-san, we hope everyone is having a great weekend! Tokyo is とても暑い(totemo atsui!)
It’s really hot over here, and Jonas is climbing Mt. Fuji! Everyone here is looking forward to the weather cooling down and to Jonas’ report. See everyone on Monday.
Mina-san, hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
As for Sakura’s fine, I recommend a 1,000,000 yen fine and a message board apology!
I agree with Yoshi-san! The new features in the Learning Center are “inconceivable”
The interactive features are fantastic.
The cell phone lessons will be great! It’s lucky I can understand, “hanshite kudasai”.
Peter-san, re: Sakura’s fine. You are way too silly, but I love you anyway.
Daniel-Beck-san,
Could you please post the translation of the Informal Track for that “You May Not” lesson?
Well, knowing the Jpod101 team, it seems the only 33% discount Yoshi can get is the one from his salary.
A funny ep, still.
Keep it going.
Peter-sensei, this has nothing to do with the news but you said that you are a chinesepod.com subscriber and I thought you or any other chinese learner would find interesting a visit to www.linese.com. It is not a pod but they teach a language anyway and not only students but teachers too can learn in places like this.
Take care
Our Vickyちゃん、
How did I post before you? Oh, it must be the weekend.
Peterちゃん、
Are you trying to get Our Beloved Sakuraさん’s pay docked?
Shame on you!
Although, she didn’t add さん to Yoshiさん’s name.
You know さくらさん、 around here we add さん to each other’s name.
I’m surprised. The JP101 staff has to opportunity to get revenge on me by critiquing my podcast, but hasn’t.
It must be out of kind self-control.
Lizさん、
I didn’t translate the Informal Track for Our Vickyちゃん、 I just summarized. Maybe someone from JP101 could put up a translation.

I want to know what the difference is between けれど and けれども, and why they exist. Don’t they mean close to the same thing as kedo?
Also what is the difference between “dou ka shita” (in the intermediate lesson “sayuri’s back”) and “dou shita no”?
Andrewさん、
With 「けれども」、「けれど」、and 「けど」, the each mean the same thing. Just, the longer the phrase, the more formal it is.
Oh, and btw, there was no mention in the News episode that this is a 3-day weekend in Japan, was there? And you call this the news!
-Daniel
Daniel Beck-san,
Enlighten us, please, about what the holiday is?? ![]()
Thanks!
Oh, I just looked it up. The holiday is Umi no Hi (Sea or Ocean Day)
I think Sakuraさん should get a raise.
Danielさん - I listened to your podcast briefly. Very nice work!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
It’s hot here too since our dog ate a hole in the #$@%#$#$%@3ing air conditioner tube thing under our house. -____-;;
Jason-san,
I’m so sorry!
You can visit us! In Chicago it’s 96 F (that’s 36 C), but our AC is working well!
Markさん、
Thanks for listening and thanks for your kind words. I only wish I had a crew like the JP101 crew to take it to the next level.
Oh, and yeah, Sakuraさん should get a raise!
Jasonさん、
Sorry to hear about your pain.
I’m glad to see you put the expletive in front of the tube, and not your dog. Remember, he’s (she?) just a dog.
Where, oh where, is Our Vickyちゃん?
-Daniel B
Lessons in Japanese voicemail! Great! Now all I need is a lesson on how to use my existing english voicemail
美しい桜さんは罰金を払ってもいいですか。私は違います。
Yoshi様、
Inconceivable?
Did you get that from the Princess Bride?
“He didn’t fall? Inconceivable!”
“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
-Daniel B
Tadaima! Hello mina-san. I just found out that there was a wireless internet connection nearby. Now I am sitting here in the sun and downloading the rescent podcasts to save myself from the boring days here
Liz-san, is there really that hot in Chicago? Here it’s only like 20 degrees Celsius.
A special hi to Vicky-chan. Anyoung ha seyo and ohayou.
Now all the podcasts are finished! I wish you guys a nice weekend, at least what’s left of it.
JockZonさん、
Glad to hear you could get access!

I recommend it!

I liked this lesson, but can’t conceive of docking Sakuraさん pay. She is so sweet and beautiful. I would hate to be responsible for bringing sadness to such a face.
BTW - Dallas is とても暑い(totemo atsui!). We have had no (あめ) rain here in (すうかげつ) several months.

If Sakura made a mistake, it MUST be due to her being overworked! Instead of docking her pay, she should get a few days off! With pay, of course…
Nateさん、
We’d gladly give you some of our rain!
