The first season lessons remind me of a 竜巻. A lot of content is there, but it is all swirling around.

間に合う is covered in later lessons (e.g. lesson 90) so I probably would have gotten this if I had come back to review this again. I have all these problem sentences highlighted in my notes. I just finished lesson 120 and I really feel a need to go back and review, review, review.

I have been making my way through these lessons, having started with Beginner Lesson 1 about a month ago, and so I just came upon your question today. Actually, I was quite surprised that the term “ma ni au” was introduced in this lesson and then given no special attention. “Ma ni au” is an extremely commonly used expression!

To answer your question, the actual statement in the dialogue was as follows:
十二時半に「間に合い」ますか?

This became somewhat of a problem for me also, as one of the Vocabulary Questions for this lesson wants the learner to complete the following: 「間に合う」の使い方としてふさわしくないものを選びなさい。

From the answer choices given, finding out the correct one made no sense, since the term was not covered in the lesson in a way that would have helped the learner choose correctly. Anyway, I hope that you find this reply and that it will help you and others who come after…

I have been trying to transcribe “will we make it before 12:30″ in the conversation in the vocab section (楽勝) and was having 大問題！

I finally decided that it was:

十二時半に前にいますか?
（楽勝でしょう！)

Is that correct?
