皆さん、
お待たせしました。
Intermediate Lessons are back for good. Sorry for the wait, but you can tell by today’s late publishing time that these take a bit of time to put together! Thank you for your understanding, and look forward to getting things back to normal!

Mina-san!
This must explain how busy the team has been….they have gone back and updated the previous lessons. Thanks, guys!
I just found out that you can go to the Kanji Corner Archives and get kanji for your Kanji Bank in the Learning Center from past lessons.

usagi-san, you have a great weekend, as well
Liz-san, yes, creating back content was a monster of a task that we’re still putting a few tweaks on, but we think it was worth it
Vicky-san, have a good weekend no matter what
JockZon, fear not! To the dismay of some, we only have one Intermediate lesson per week at this time. So you can look forward to some English tomorrow
Time to get my 10 minutes night’s sleep!
Night all!

I must say, job done! Must’ve taken the writers years (or at least 2 weeks) to think that one up!
You keep getting better and better!

I just want to say, before the board fills up, that I can’t wait to listen to this lesson - it’s been so long since an intermediate lesson! Alas, now, I think I shall go to bed, but I will listen first thing in the morning - what a way to wake up!

These intermediate classes are great for beginners too. It’s fun to just sit back and enjoy the sound of the language with no expectations and very exciting when I realize I just understood something!

One question about “rokudenashi”…
Peter says that it is related to “riku” meaning land and then says that “riku de nashi” means someone that is up and down and unpredictable….but the saying is “roku de nashi” not “riku de nashi”
How did the “riku” become “roku”?????
Wednesday at 11:56 am
is there a way to download the podcasts so that you can listen to them on the go?????
ja,

The go-on 呉音 reading of “riku” is “roku”.

I agree with Mel - when I lived in Tokyo nobody wanted to speak to me in Japanese. (well… not literary “nobody”) Perhaps I should have gotten arrested
Monday at 1:52 pm
oli-san,
I think if you had met middle age or older women, they would have talked to you in Japanese!
