Oh yeah, it’s gonna be great day for me.
Tuesday at 9:17 pm
Oh man! I am in big trouble because of you Vicky. Peter and Nathan, who are scrambling to catch the last train home, asked me to post the first comment.
Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the new lesson and has a great day!!!
Tuesday at 9:20 pm
Are they all gone already?
Sorry Eran-san.
Tuesday at 10:50 pm
Hello! Excellent lesson, even though I allready knew all of this it was good entertainment
Today it came early for me. The lessons usually come around late bed time for me but know it’s dinner time. Thank you and welcome Micky (? spelling)
Tuesday at 10:58 pm
Vicky-san, as always thanks! Yeah, we had an early day at the office. 12:15 (am) train.
Eran-san, great to see you out on the boards!
Keep up the great work.
JockZon-san, glad to hear that you liked it!
Actually, our desired posting time is about 3-5 hours earlier than today, but due to the tremendous back content we had to fill our schedule was a bit out of sync. Things should get back to normal shortly. 晩ご飯!いいな。。。何を食べるでしょうか??
Miki-san, welcome to the show!
Tuesday at 11:03 pm
皆さん、today’s location is Souru・ソウル! Hello to all of our listeners in Korea・かんこく・韓国!
Tuesday at 11:31 pm
I love the idea of Peter as Cinderella!
How come everyone has curfew’s though?
Also, I asked this a while back but I don’t think I got an answer, how come you guys are travelling around so much? Isn’t it really expensive going to a new country every day? (Not to mention tiring…) Or is that part of your full time jobs? Or have I missed the point entirely of the word “location”?
Tuesday at 11:32 pm
That’s what I thought. I thought I heard Seoul but I wasn’t sure. So I was waiting for JPod101.com comments, but you are gone already.
I didn’t know in Japanese way. It’s Souru for Seoul Korea?
Thank you~~~
Tuesday at 11:35 pm
Welcome to Miki-san! Miki-san has actually been helping us at the office for a while, but this is her showbiz debut
Wasn’t her self-into kawaii
Today I got to experience my first earthquake! It felt pretty much like riding the train, only I was sitting in the office… omoshiroi ne!
Vicky-san, today is Seoul!
Tuesday at 11:37 pm
Rob-san,
The location is basically a “shout-out” to different listeners around the world… although I think you have a great idea. Peter-san should send us to those locations to broadcast, as well
Vicky-san,
You posted while I was writing, but I guess I answered your question anyway
Wednesday at 12:13 am
あ, やっぱり! That’s what I always thought, but then I started to think that you actually were travelling to all these places, and I was starting to wonder how it was possible! It’s just the way it always said “Today’s location is…” which made it sound that way! I feel foolish ¬_¬
Bet you wish it were true though!
Wednesday at 12:17 am
Jpod Team!
The “old people” voices were amazing.
The whole show was so funny!
I loved the new words and phrases, too.
Thanks!
This episode was one of the best!
Wednesday at 12:21 am
RobGillon-san,
You are funny!
JPod Team:
But, it might help the pod listeners find the line-by-line.
Here’s a little idea: in the Learning Center, right next to “Transcript” under “Lesson Specific”, write in small letters “line-by line audio”. I know it might not fit.
It was just a thought………………..
Wednesday at 12:24 am
JPod Team,
It’s me again.
On the Transcript for this episode, the English part has some funny slashes in the text. I’m using Safari.
Wednesday at 12:34 am
Nathan-san, don’t forget to check forum either. I’ve been waiting!!!
Wednesday at 1:27 am
Mikiさん、
Nice to have another “new face” on the podcast. (BTW, “new face” the way you guys used it is Engrish).
ばれる・ばらす
勉強になりました!
Is this a beginner word? Somehow I’ve never learned this word. Either I’ve been behaving myself, or I’m just good at not getting caught.

Wednesday at 2:04 am
Why does all the japanese girls on the show sound so qute? Is it always that way or do you just make yourself sound prettier.
Naaw, Peter I promise that you sound just as qute as them
jokes aside, I think you should begin to travel around the globe and broadcast every lesson from a new location
Longing for next lesson. Take care.
Wednesday at 3:28 am
Cute???
I think it’s broadcast thing. Even Nathan-san sounds much better on the air.
Tell you the ture, I hated his voice on the phone….
Kidding~~~
Wednesday at 4:20 am
Welcome Miki! She’s got such a cute voice! haha Nice lesson, too! ^_^
Wednesday at 7:23 am
Hisabisa minasan. I haven’t posted in a while.
I miss you guys. I haven’t listened to today’s episode but by the looks of the comments, I can’t wait. Nathan, I want to extend my belated congrats to you for joining the team, you lucky so an so. You sound really nice. Great comic relief, you should do all the intros.
Welcome aboard Miki. Oh and I love love love the new site. Nicely done. Round of applause.
Wednesday at 10:51 am
Eran-san, I just realized I’ve been listening to the transcript audio files with Firefox tonight and no problems at all! You fixed it! Hooray!
Wednesday at 11:42 am
Hi
. You make me laugh in front of people at the hospital today and my friend asked me “what’s wrong with you”. What I tell them is I am studing a very good lesson and I feel happy.
It’s very good lesson. I love old person’s voice. Is that really your voice. hihi just kidding
Can’t wait to the next lesson
Ton
Wednesday at 5:28 pm
Janis, can’t take credit for fixing that one… It was all David Hallgren! That guy sure makes me look good though

Hello guys, I’m at school!
I need something from you for a friend of mine.
She would like to know how we can pronounce and write anthropomorphe in hiragana…
!
I know it’s a strange and unusual word, but well it’s for her exam…so it’s kind of important
That’s it^^
thank you guys!
I’ll own you.
Wednesday at 7:28 pm
According to Dictionary.com, there is no such word as Anthropomorphe. If, however, you mean Anthropomorpha, the anthropoid apes, then that’s 人類猿 (じんるいえん). The individual kanji are (interestingly enough) Human, genus, monkey!
Wednesday at 11:00 pm
I guess it’s Anthropomorpha… ‘antropomorphe is in french -_-’, silly me!
So,
thank you so much^^
It’s right, the individual Kanji are …surprising^^… so bad she doesn’t need the Kanji.
^^

Not sure if you guys still monitor comments on lessons this old, but if so, could someone comment on “kao ga masshiro?”
I know “kao” is face, “ga” is our particle, and “shiro” is white, but how does what’s left convey “being painted?” Is this phrase actually in the passive voice, as the translation suggests? I couldn’t find any words containing “paint” in the dictionary that seem to fit.
chotto tetsudatte kudasai.
Tuesday at 6:10 am
I think the literal translation would be something like “your face is absolutely white” (no passive voice here).
真っ白 sounds to me like some kind of superlative form. Here are some examples from edict showing how it is used in particular with colors:
◆ 真 [しん] truth, reality, genuineness Buddhist sect originating in the thirteenth century
◆ 真 [ま] just, right, due (east), pure, genuine true
◆ 真っ暗 [まっくら] total darkness, shortsightedness pitch dark
◆ 真っ黒 [まっくろ] pitch black
◆ 真っ青 [まっさお] deep blue ghastly pale
◆ 真っ赤 [まっか] deep red flushed (of face)
Tuesday at 7:37 am
OK. Thanks very much for the help. I know I shouldn’t worry with such little things at this point, but the geek in me balks at passing them over.
Thursday at 12:02 am

JP101/Listeners!
I’m very happy to know when Miki-san started JP101 and it’s all thanks to Angie that told us. Honestly I though that she started since her blog but I guess I was wrong. Great job Miki-san and everyone else!

if you’re new to Japanese, i urge you to learn hiragana and katakana(Which takes a few days), but leave kanji for later(Weeks up to decades)
Wednesday at 11:40 am
hey guys, i’m new here. i’m nate, nice to meet u all. you have done some awesome work. i’ve been looking for a learning tool like this for ages and i’m very grateful to have stumbled upon jpod101, so thank you. i thought i was lower intermediate but i decided to start back here because of so many new points at the end of the beginner series i was picking up. i would have missed tons of valuable vocab if i tried to skip these lessons (and since this is an old thread i won’t take it personally if nobody reads it
)

やや、ばれました。お祖父さん。
やっばり、キスのコンサトに行きました。お祖父さん。顔が真っ白。
やややや、それもばれましたよ。私達はちゃんと電話しました。七時に電話しましたよ。

Good dialogue, but I feel the lesson notes should include these vocab:
着く (つく) - to arrive
かしら - I wonder (fem)
ちゃんと - perfectly, properly, exactly
