I was Initially looking in the forum area but didn't find anything. I should watch that area more often. Thanks so much for the tip. btw, even though I'm a die hard Apple fan, I agree with your comment that all platforms have their pros and cons. But a little freindly rivalry between the two camps is okay I think. cheers, beatnik Hey thanks Jason-san. I was Initially looking in the forum area but didn’t find anything. I have been meaning to mention this as well. That is my fav ad f the bunch. But I was wondering if anbody understands what she is saying at the end of the ad. The first part is easy, it just an greeting that we learned in lesson 1. I'm hoping that we can get it translated as I think it would make the ad even more enjoyable, especially since so many of us are Apple/Japan fans. Maybe a future cultue class... cheers to all from Ottawa, Canada:mrgreen: Thanks Mark for that comment about the new Apple ads. I have been meaning to mention this as well. It was lots of fun, still, I'm with Takase, I'd go for fresh fruit for my vitamins. I've heard fresh fruit is very expensive in Japan, so maybe that's why these drinks are very popular. If you go to the wasp drink link that Peter posted and scroll down quite a way, they explain where the wasp juice comes from. I thought it was ground-up wasp. But there's actually a complicated relationship between parent wasps and their larvae, where the wasp flies off and kills bugs that it can't eat because of its wasp-waist, makes a meatball out of them, brings the meatball back to the larva, and the larva digests it and produces a liquid to sustain the wasp. There's a little cartoon with a smiling wasp and larva. I'm not sure I can drink that stuff now! Nature is so bizarre. Speaking of revolting food, has anyone tried birds nests? I bought some cans of birds nest drink, but I can't make myself (or anyone at work) drink it. Birds nests are made out of a special saliva produced by pregnant swallows. (They're sterilized before being made into drinks.) Oh my goodness! If you go to the wasp drink link that Peter posted and scroll down quite a way, they explain where the wasp juice comes from.
