Mina-san, hope everyone had/is having a great weekend wherever you are! Welcome to the team Nathan.
Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
That was a funny intro. Nathan!
I’m from Texas myself so I got a hoot outta that one ![]()
Thanks for makin’ my day
Hello there!! and welcome Nathan!! That was a funny intro you did! My weekend is going great as I find myself digging deeper into the learning center, and ponding stuff into the three neurons left in my brain like crazy.
The city is deserted as everyone is away on this first of two long weekends here. And it´s nice to actually being able to see the volcanoes surrounding the city, so I am starting a campaign to close the highways in order to prevent all the cars that left from ever returning to town.
Hope you guys get to enjoy at least a little of Golden Week over there!

If anybody is wondering at how few comments there are, it is probably because the news seems to have been posted only to the Learning Center, and is not yet showing up either in “blog” or “home”. That might be by design, but I would guess it’s more likely a glitch brought on by somebody’s lack of sleep.
So following your suggestion, I checked out “lyrics” in my mp3 download for today’s lesson. I hope you didn’t REALLY spend 30 minutes typing that in.
But I trust you that for a normal lesson, it must be a lot of work. I’ll watch for it in the next lesson.
Your invitation to a Golden Week special edition holiday . . . Is this what you have in mind? ![]()

Around the 9 minute mark of the News you talk about being able to listen to a phrase over and over by simply clicking on the sentence. Where is this? I’m lost!!!
Thanks
Hello again,
Off the subject of the news, would the following be translated properly? I’m working on a school project.
Heavenly Delight 天空の歓喜
Sweet Tooth Company 甘い歯の会社
Thank you again.
MintyFresh-san,
If you go into the Learning Center for the more recent lessons and click on “Transcript”, you will find small play buttons (Flash required) to the left of each line in the kanji transcript. Click on these to hear the line that follows the button. Let us know if you are having any troubles, and let us know which browser you are using as we are still working on functionality across all browsers.
I was wonding what was up with Transcripts. When I veiw them, I don’t see the transcriptions, I only see the headers (Romanji, English, Kanji and Hiraganahan)
I’m running….
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp.050622-1524
Macromedia Flash Player Version 8
I also tested using Firefox 1.5.0.2
If I remember correctly this also does not work from home.
Minty.
Minty-san, 久しぶりです!
Please check last Thursday and Friday’s lessons in the learning center.
Hey Peter,
Yes, The Thursday and Friday lessons’ transcripts show up perfectly for me. There just must not be one for JCC15. I have to say, this is VERY COOL!
Thanks for your help and patience.
Minty
Hey Peter
I am having the same problem as MintyFresh was and have done as you suggested to him but with no luck. I am using Safari on my G4 PowerBook with ITunes. Please help as I should love to be able to listen to lines individually.
Thank you so much for the Kanji Practice Sheet. I also love the chance to be able to test myself on the lessons. The Oldest Woman items were appropriate to me as I am nearly 68. Do you think I am your oldest member? I have been listening since the beginning. Perhaps you would consider a senior’s rate as I sadly fear I won’t be able to take out a premium subscription as much as I would love to.

MintyFresh-san,
For “Heavenly Delight,” 「無上の喜び」would sound more natural, and “Sweet Tooth Company” would be「甘党の仲間」if you meant fellowship by company.
I hope it would be of some help
