I tried getting in twice, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt now since I didn't go with any females. Hah, and funny thing is I witnessed a guy get knocked out (head hit the concrete) in front of me after coming out of a club in Shibuya, and an ambulance had to come. However, thanks for the lesson! Very sharp of you! The introduction lessons were actually recorded at a later date, late 2006. Hence the reason for the first time! ジェイソンさん、thank you for listening! Very sharp of you! Wasn't she in the very first japanesepod101 show though? I thought that was her in the introduction lessons. Peter says this was her first time. I love Chigusa’s voice. It's great that for once, Peter's jokes are being acknowledged! I feel for you Peter. And Chigusa is great in this episode, hope we hear more of her soon! Another thing, which may or may not be true, I've heard that the dog Hachiko (ハチコ (八子)) got his name from the shape of his inturned front paws -- if you were to look at them from above, they looked like the kanji for "hachi" (八). One final note, as they were talking about older people going to the clubs in Shibuya. One notorious group is the "hinoe uma no onna" (丙午の女), meaning "women born in the year of the fire horse", the "fire horse" being the 43rd year of the sexagenary cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Traditionally, it was said that disasters tend to happen in this year, and that women born in the year of the fire horse were destined to kill their husbands. So supposedly, there are still lots of single hinoeuma women floating about (despite the fact that they are now 40 years old) because Japanese men, knowing the legend, refused to get involved with them. These women tend to go to gaijin bars, because foreigners don't know about the legend. That's what people say, anyway. Also remember of Shibuya a fun 100 Yen Sushi place that was so popular that you had to finish your meal within 20 minutes or risk getting kicked out.
