Jessi san ended up not going as i had a cold and hurt my nose but my real Japanese oral is on the 16th of this month and i still have no idea what to do and the oral I’m talking about is for my leaving certain its worth 25% and i don’t want to throw that away as I’m unable to do these sections

is there any help about a japanese oral for example the section 2 on the essays for 2 and a half minutes and also section 3 on the picture sequences as i need help with these 2 as i’m unsure of what i am meant to and hopefully someone will see this before tomorrow as i have a mock oral with a real japanese guy.

Hai, that wa is spelled as “ha” to distinguish other “ha” sounds because that is a special sound.
It indicates the topic or the subject in the sentence by following things, like octopus, tuna, and sea urchin.
As you need “is” to make sense with “octopus” and “alright,” we need “wa.”
ex) Tako wa daijobu?
“Is Octopus alright?”

hi there - i noticed the “ha” as the suffix of octopus, tuna, sea urchin. But when i listened to the podcast, it sounded like more like a “wa”. What does it mean ?

I noticed in this lesson that “Tako” means “Octopus”. However, when the question was made the particle “ha” was added to the word “Tako”. What does “ha” mean? What is its function in the phrase? Arigago Gozaimasu.

The “r” sound can sound like an “l” sound to English speakers sometimes, but it’s more like a mix between “r” and “l”. If you are familiar with the Spanish or Italian “r” where you flick your tongue against the roof of your mouth - that’s the sound.
